espionagesavvy:Hmmmm... Don't be surprised that you'll be called for the next round. Interviews are not all about what you know but also how you respond, the confidence you exhibit, your patience, temper etc. as a Banker ( Ian not one) you receive many insults and attacks, how do you respond? These are additional virtues being looked out for in an interview. |

d33types:Nice one but at the same time you don't really need formal knowledge or training. I think entrepreneur is what is good for this developing economy we find ourselves. You see Indecision is one of the enemies lurking inside us. Indecision is the thief of opportunity & enterprise. It will steal your chances for better future. Take a sword to this enemy NOW. |

OP thru your narrative, I can tell u've got d job. your interviewer were impressed by your CV and probably have discussed it before you were called in. Rem. they were not there to take lectures from you; but wanted to check your ability to handle difficult situations or a difficult boss. I hope you didn't look so irritated or snapped at them before leaving? Good luck. |

The interviewer sounded like an illiterate. Are you sure you didn't enter the wrong room? |

Aseneshii:Thank you bro, probably it's because it was his first time. If I were the one, I would have given it back to them real hot, collect my CV and walk away. We should always watch out for professionalism. Don't because you're looking for a job and allow someone whose office is not justifiable spilled poo on you. |

This is so hilarious, I would have lost interest after the first jab and would love to take revenge in my subsequent response. You left with a very battered heart. I will be better to be confident to face an interviewer than to have lost my mojo before I appear before them. |

OP I am the guy that interviewed you. I can't believe you came to NairaLand to post this rubbish. I was gonna give you the job but now I am not so sure. I think you are one of those people that spend too much time on social media, therefore it will be very difficult to trust you with confidential banking information. |

espionagesavvy:I demand you name the recruitment agency and the names of the bunch of cretins that interviewed you. This was not an interview. This was a humiliation session. A clear abuse of power. Name these fuuktards and lets put them and their employers to shame. They were not there to investigate what you have to offer in the workplace, they were more keen in findind ways to humiliate you and then engage in schadenfreude. They are unprofessional and heartless cretins. NAME THESE FCKERS! These cretins know how desperate Nigerian youths are when looking for a job and they are abusing their powers as gatekeepers for an employment position. This is no different from lecturers demanding sex from young girls otherwise they would fail exams. It is no different from police officers forcing commercial drivers to pay handouts otherwise they would sieze their vehicles. NAME THESE FCKERS and let them be publicly humiliated or even hounded out of a job and let others treat them the same way. |

Jarus:lols Dear Jarush it's no scam. The outfit is Workforce Enugu office and I believe most graduates have heard of them. I had a said banking interview with them sometime ago and mine went well. Trying to do my documentation presently and file in in case something considerable comes up through them. The interviewer in question is a calm man and easy to get along with from my encounter with him Sha. From my analysis of what op posted I think he is good at what he studied in the school but failed to stir the interview away from his academic makeup since the industry in question was different from what he was trained in at the University. My thought though, I might be wrong. |

espionagesavvy:Funny enough, you may get the job... I heard of someone who had a similarly grueling interview, but ended up getting the job. They could have been measuring your ability to work under pressure without cracking your composure. |

Valendo:I presupposed your ending and it didn't fail me. While I agree one should build his/her system, the question is, is it everyone that is cut out for self employment or building a system? And another thing is that will it not be fair to learn the rudiments of building a system somewhere before one embarks on his own? Please I have not said building one business isn't good but only saying that paid employment has its own advantage too. And saying most of these jobs are slavery, thank God you said most and not all. Do you also know that 1 out of every business start ups fail and also about half of the ones that survive fail after 5 years? Both sides have both advantage and disadvantage. One can be rich via both. Do not discredit one for the other. |
