How do u identify a pregnant rabbit |
Re: Interesting Facts About Rabbits (oryctolagus Cuniculus). by dyoungforester(m): 7:54pm On Sep 29, 2015 |
Thanks @ samshoz for the update, truly I'm located in Abeokuta and I'm currently in Ibadan. You can determine a pregnant rabbit by palpation by using your hands to feel the unborn kits. by introducing the suspected pregnant female rabbit into a buck room as the process begins the rabbit continues to make out some sounds but although it is not 100% reliable unlike the palpation method. Thanks. |

Indigenous knowledge simply means our
forehands knowledge used in those days and
partially this day for healing sickness and other
related diseases. But here I will be discussing
some of our common plants used for curing so
many diseases or illness in society, the first
amongst all is PAWPAW (carica papaya)
The pawpaw plant is a native to South America
and it was cultivated during the pre- Columbian
time.
Pawpaw is one of God's wonderful gifts to
humanity, pawpaw is a pharmacy on it own right,
we all eat pawpaw and enjoy its sweet and
pleasant taste , but how many of us know the
value of this wonderful plant. Pawpaw improves
the digestion of protein and expel worms. The ripe
fruits are rich in vitamin A, B, C. Vitamin A is
good for eyesight, B for the nerves and muscle
and C strengthen the immune system and help to
fight against illnesses. For worms, chews two
tablespoons of the seeds of ripe and pawpaw first
thing on rising and last thing at night
For chronic external ulcers or sore, cut a piece of
unripe pawpaw fruit and tie it directly to the
wood, Do this 4 times daily continue till the would
has dried, which may be a few days or weeks To
make the wound heal faster eat plenty of ripe
pawpaw.
The following are some of the used of pawpaw:
1. Malaria fever: Squeeze some yellow leaves in
water, Take a glassful three times for seven days.
The preparation is also good for jaundice. the
dosage is the same
2.Diabetes: the green leaves if pawpaw are good
for diabetes- induced hypertension . squeeze the
leaves in water and take a glass three times
daily. This preparation us also good for
constipation.
3. Stomach: Cut a big unripe pawpaws fruit into
pieces Do nit remove the peels or the seeds.
simply cut the whole fruit into cubes, then soak in
five bottles of water for four days Sieve and take
half a glass three tines daily for two weeks. This
is a very good remedy for any types of intestinal
ulcer.
4. Impotence : Cut two unripe pawpaw fruits into
pieces ( seeds and peel inclusive). Bring to boil in
eight bottles if water. Take half a glass thrice
daily.
