Top feed is still tops, for light am using kerosine lamp but for brooding I used gas heater. (Gas heater is economical when u have the numbers).

Pls, my boss in the house. What is fowl pox disease. What are the signs and symptoms and what can be used to treat affected birds. Thanks.

Fowl pox is a disease that affects birds which causes them to have pox usually visible on the skin, the beak or the comb. it also causes them to have swollen watery eyes, weakness and even death...
once noticed you can treat with anicillin and pep pox. Buy one packet of anicillin and for cups of pep pox then open all and mix very well together (both the anicillin and the pep pox) in a bowl and give one table spoon (plastic spoon) in 10litres of water... I just got my birds treated of it.

Good day all, am rearing chicken for the first time, but it seems I started too early and didn't understand it, I got my chickens August at 4 weeks old and have been rearing them they were 40 in number and they didn't die not until late September they started dieing spontaneously.
