There's time and place for everything and that's college. College is the time to experiment with sex, drugs and party.

college isn't only about education.

I was having my lunch in a restaurant in Accra this afternoon, when A friend started a discussion of what some of our female Nigerian students in Ghana have turned themselves into. I could not agree more. While the parents spend lots of money to ensure their daughters are comfortable and graduate with flying colours, their children have a different agenda.

There was this particular case of a young girl whose mother rented a 2-bedroom flat for her in Accra. My friend, said news just got to him this week, that this student slept with 5(five) guys at the same time and was still begging for more. She is always high on hard drugs. And,the mother, back in Nigeria will be booasting of her daughter, who is studying in Ghana. Oh, so pathetic.

Sadly to say, many of these young girls have become international prostitutes and seriously hooked on drugs. I mean what I am saying. And many people in Accra can bear me witness. Some of the mushroom universities attended by the students lack hostel facilities and the students are forced to rent accomodation thereby according them too much privacy which they are not matured enough to handle.

This issues also involves our boys. Some have become drug addicts, school dropouts and they still collect school fees from their parents.

Parents need to pay regular unexpected visit to their children and monitor them via phone calls at odd hours to find out where they are and what they are up to. If you a parent, you must never cease to pray for your children. And, if you are not sure of child,s behaviour, keep him or her close to you
You no lie boss....can't wait 2 get through with my studies. Ghana is gradually turning to modern day 'sodom & gom'

I agree with what the op is saying. My father is a business man en route ghana to nigeria for 30 years now. So when me and my bro talked to him about going to Ghana to further our education. He vehemently refused, his exact words were "over his dead body will any of us go to school there or do we want to turn out to be hooligans, sex addict and drop-outs. He also said almost every young girl in Ghana has a kid/kids without being married and that though the standard of education is high over there compared to ours, he will prefer us to read a 4 years course for 6 years in Nigeria than going to school there. For him to have said all these, his eyes must have seen a lot. grin
who says Ghana's standard of education is higher than Nigeria's? How many prestigious universities do they have? Unighana, Knust and Capecoast only, Naija has Unibadan,Unilorin,Unilag,A.B.U,O.A.U,U.N.N,Uniben etc, these are all standard universities, the earlier we start appreciating our own,the better, for us, those travelling to Ghana were likely frustrated by Jamb, so they seeked for other options.

expose us. Start. But note that for every weakness of us ghanaians. Nigerians has 2 or 3 weaknesses.

I get tired when I read comments comparing Nigeria and Ghana. All that happens in Nigeria happens in Ghana. It's more pronounced in Naija than Ghana though. Corruption amongst government officials, police, immigration officers, custom officers and judges.

Ghana has high class institutions. Nigeria has same and both countries have few institutions that are below standard and got accredited in questionable circumstances.

Over the years after john kufuor's administration ghana's economy has nosedived and I wish the Governor of the bank of Ghana provides a solution to the fall of the cedis and the government provides the right policies to move mother Ghana forward.

Nigeria's economy has not improved either. We get to hear stories of funds looted everyday and recovery processes initiated. What happens afterwards is more of a comedy trial for those who stole when in power.

It's about time we ask the right questions and call our leaders to order to salvage the dwindling fortunes of both countries instead of fighting online.

No one has to tell you the standard of education is higher in Ghana than Nigeria. Also is more valued. Lots of credits from Ghana gets transferred in America universities but not Nigeria.

Isn't Abuja home to some of the world biggest slums. Kumasi, cape coast, tokoradi, tamale, and so much more.

It's not a problem really.he only highlighted institutions he felt were not up to standard in Ghana without mentioning that they are relatively few in comparison to institutions of high standard. I am not a Ghanaian and I feel the o.p is not a Ghanaian either but must have lived in Ghana at some point.I lived in Ghana for years and I feel both countries share similar culture and way of life and lot of intermarriages have taken place between Nigerians and Ghanaians. Let's share ideas on the forum and stop fighting. We don't need the drums of war.

Most of your celebrities are baby daddies, so whom are they having these kids by. There are many baby mama in Nigeria than there Ghanaians in the world.

You father is a liar and is a good thing you and your brother didn't come to Ghana. Now you can join the plenty cult that's in your country.
