The only thing PMB cares about is money. If you like steal N20b, wgeb he catches you you plead bargain with N2b. Once he sees the money he will forget himself and let you go. Shikena. Sai Baba Owoegokwudi.

U are correct bros. Why wont it 'quench' if i may ask. The pipe line vandals thought that pmb was serious at earlier stage when he was shouting war against corruption. They have gone back to their illicit activities of bursting the pipe line when they saw that pmb doesn't mean his words. The kind of people in the ministerial list submitted to the senate can convince u that we have entered 'one chance'. It only God that can save us from this situation.

Re: Why Power Supply Improved Under Buhari, By Nebo by omolami: 1:10pm On Oct 12, 2015
We knew it was APC vandals that worked day and night to ensure Nigerians did not enjoy power during GEJ despite all his efforts. The APC vandals were always at hand to vandalise gas pipe line each time they were fixed. Therefore Nigerians could not enjoy light Now that APC is in power the vandals have been instructed to stop. Now that we are enjoying a bit of improvement , psychopaths want us to believe it's somebody body odor that make the magic. Nigerians are not fools. Thank you prof Nebo This is what Falana could not do because he is in dare need of appointment under Buhari.

Sorry to divert a little, a NEPA staff once said that the person in charge of control room dictate supply of power to communities and at times. If they don't send him recharge card, he wouldn't switch on the supply of power. At times he sells power to other commodities that bribe him. What is your say on this?

How? Please explain by quoting me

Nigeria's power problem is going to be solved in exactly the same way that the telecommunications problem was solved. Distributed power solutions, primarily in the form of Solar Energy. Think, mobile telephones versus landline telephones.

Indeed, this trend has already started, and I can tell you that my company has done over 100 Off-grid Solar Power installations for customers in the last year alone. People are now sourcing their power directly from Solar and cutting off NEPA completely. I expect this trend to rapidly increase over the next 2 years, as the new NEPA tariffs kick in, and Nigerians begin to see just how expensive power really is. I simply cannot see the average middle class family being willing to pay N50,000 per month to NEPA for just 6-8 hours power per day.

No, instead, they will turn to Solar power providers who can guarantee them 24 hours power for less money that they will be paying to NEPA. I can also tell you with absolute authority that before the end of 2016, you are going to see a major advertising blitz hitting Nigerians, offering a Pay as You Go Solar Solution for every home. Nigerians will be able to get immediate guaranteed 24 hours power by just paying an upfront fee of N100,000, and then paying a fixed monthly fee of between 12 - 48K on average.

In exactly the same way the NITEL died, I fully expect to see the death of NEPA, as every Nigerian opts for a distributed power solution for their homes. Generation, Transmission and Distribution all at the point of use. No interface with a decrepid grid system that's beyond repair.

And the best part of all, this power revolution has already started, you just haven't noticed it yet. It will become very apparent to even the average person within 18 months. I can tell you that right now, Estate Developers are not connecting NEPA lines to their estates, but instead, are installing Solar Panels on each home, as it makes each unit far more attractive to the buyers, being that it comes with 24 hours power.

How do I know all this? Because, I'm the Founder and CEO of Nigeria's largest Solar Power Company, having launched it just 2 and a half years ago. The change people seek is already here, they just don't know it yet.

The entire power privatization is going to end up as a disaster, because demand for NEPA, at least from a residential and SME basis, is going collapse, as is the demand for generators.

Quote me on this in 5 years time.

Intelligence is very clearly lacking in Nigeria.

Heathrow Airport - 5,500MW
Nigeria - 5,000MW

Think about that for a second, and process the connotations of that. I have some further further questions for you:

1. Which consumes more power, residential homes or businesses?
2. What impact would you observe if all the available power was diverted to homes and away from businesses?
3. In your view, which is more important - power to homes or power to industry?

I have a tip for you - never enter into a technical argument with a person who's an expert in the field in question.

Have a good day

Sir, with the greatest of respect, I know considerably more about the power supply in Nigeria than you will ever know. I have customers across 15 States of the Federation, all of whom buy power from me. I can tell you with authority that power supply in many parts of this country is worse than ever.

Benin
Calabar
Asaba
Warri
Port Harcourt
Owerri
Uyo
Nassawara
Ekiti

Go to any of these places and tell them that light has improved, and see what they say to you. I'm done with this conversation, you can deceive yourself as much as you want.

Utterly pathetic - this is why Nigeria is the way it is.

He was the former Minister of Power and thus has his facts with him.

Who are you? PHCN Chairman?
A man says his room's painted black, you are busy accusing him of lying because of all his pictures you've seen never had a black background.
Is his 'lie' not more believable than your 'proof'

Yes he might not be saying the utmost truth but fact can only bow to superior logic.
While you were busy accusing GEJ, I know a state Governor who's excuse for under-performance in his first term (while campaigning to his largely illiterate indigenes) was GEJ's witchhunting
of APC governors (told them GEJ refused them funds and allocations).

Those who keep saying good about GEJ aren't doing so for propaganda (he's not contesting for any post) nor are they doing so for money or favours (he's out of power).

They're doing it out of their first-hand knowledge of a man whose passion for the country has been misread and exploited by the same people who accuse him for ineptness.

Perhaps due to being new to politics, he was too trusting...
Men of little ambition often fall into this same trap, right from Socrates to Murtala muhammed to Ironsi to GEJ.

But we all know these "jobbers" and posterity won't fail to judge them.
