13 hour battle by about 50 SF men, 6 killed while running away from Seleka. Bangui was a disaster for Southie SF.

So all you have in the past 20 years is 13 hours battle experience and it was a defeat grin

The medals you gave them is for their Olympic running speed to the airport seeking French army protection.
Lies will not do you any good. It will only seek to undermine the integrity and reliability of this forum.

No you do NOT !

The Hornet of Wasp vehicle is NOT a special forces designed vehicle, it is just an ordinary reconnaissance vehicle built for any military that likes to use them, SANDF just decided to use it for your special forces....

Hornet is NOT a special forces purpose built vehicle - Confirmed ! grin grin

"The Wasp rapid deployment reconnaissance vehicle developed in 2003 produced by BAE Land Systems OMC and to satisfy the requirements for a light airborne rapid deployment vehicle.

In April 2008 the Wasp was chosen by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) for use by their special forces in covert operations as an air-droppable vehicle. The South Africans ordered 25 of these out of a total requirement for 40 vehicles.

The vehicle is known as the Hornet by the South Africans."

http://www.army-technology.com/projects/baewasp/

Fake SA Special Forces vehicle
.
By using the word recconaissance you have already compromised your argument because there is only one division in the armed forces trained to carry out recce duties and that's special forces.

That vehicle can also be dropped down the plane with a parachute, something which ordinary soldiers cannot do or even Nigerian special forces cannot do. Lol!!

Hornet is a rapid deployment vehicle which can only tell you that no ordinary forces utilise rapid deployment vehicles but only special forces. Fake military researcher.

So, it was only 1,000 Seleka men that uprooted more than 250 SANDF Elite forces.

"President Zuma said just over 200 South African troops had battled more than 1,000 rebel fighters."

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-21923624

The SANDF mission was not just to train CAR government troops as claimed, the mission had been expanded to include staying in CAR to protect human lives of that country...so mission was NEVER accomplished and a total failure !

" It remains for Minister Mapisa-Nqakula and President Zuma to explain how the diplomatic note figures in the extension of the MoU and the deployment of the South African troops, who would come under rebel fire three months later.

The diplomatic notes provide for the ‘reinforcement of the South African Contingent for self-defence, protection of property and saving of human lives in Bangui’. The expanded scope of cooperation to include – self-defence, protection of property and saving of human lives."

Seleka Rebels involved over 3000 men to sweep the government of Bozize out of power by force. Djotodia would have never risk to face CAR government troops on the capital Bangui with only 1000 men. He made admission that he had another 3000 men who would have faced SA troops if need be.

Well!! It is no secret that Nigeria has a high level of illiteracy in Africa and you subsequently you succumbed and became a victim yourself.

Dummy read this source and educate yourself about primary and secondary tasks of the special forces.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_Special_Forces

When it comes to the use of vehicle, you sound very foolish because special forces use vehicles when they want to get from one to another in a force battle. They have been doing it for ages on the direct action with the enemy.
foolish south african exhibiting stupi.dity as usual.

-- when special forces want to go from one place to another they use light armored vehicle to provide protection in direct action, not some wheelbarrow vehicle you are parading up and down.

LOL....your own photos kill y.our argument grin grin

Those vehicles are not any specially built special forces vehicles, or can you tell us their special names ?

They are simply variants of infantry Humvees, Toyotas, Jeeps, Landrovers, etc.

Funny your last American SF photo below shows a distant ATV in the photo, Nigeria has it, you dont have in SA ! The nearer vehicle in the same photo painted brown is nothing but a simple Toyota Hilux kind of vehicle with guns on it Nigeria has it in the second photo below painted green.

Nigeria has thousands of open body Toyota 4x4 including the ones with armour despite being open.

We have all you have, and we have extra and more, we have a large variety of vehicles our SF can choose from....LAV and ATV, open or covered, armoured or soft skin.

Best equipped SF multiple variety vehicle fleet in Africa is that of Nigeria. No rival from Cape Town to Cairo.

Nigeria compare with America NOT South Africa !

.
daft southies coming here to spill bull.shit.

Lionel is as illiterate as the whole Nigeria. How will one blind man ever guide another? You are as well a lay person in military equipments.

Your illiterate mate as I tested him could not tell a simple answer that SF vehicle is a collective term used to describe rapid deployment reconnaissance vehicle and LA tactical vehicles. Nigeria does not have any of such specialised vehicles other than they converted what was not initially meant for such from various platforms many which were civilian vehicles.
south africans are illite.rates thats why your whole country is falling to pieces one by one.

6 Special forces soldiers of South Africa were killed by Seleka you liar !

"The Beeld reported on Tuesday that beyond the official toll of those injured, killed and missing, six special forces operators were also killed in the fighting."

South African special forces were said not to have fought according to @Andrewza because all 13 men who died and were named are paratroopers not SF https://www.facebook.com/CHUTESYSTEMS/posts/10151489647766773

This proves the Seleka story that more than 13 SANDF troops dies, actually over 50 died.

South African Beeld news report above also confirms this, saying apart from official list of 13 dead Parabats, another 6 dead special forces were not publicly named.

The SF could have been killed while running away to avoid a fight with Seleka.

Even if they did fight, the only fact we know is that either fleeing or fighting Seleka, SA special forces got beaten up blue black by local farmers turned rebels with no military training grin grin

.
It does not confirm that more than 13 were killed

Its an allegation without proof

stop wasting our time with childish arguments - even if SF were killed, what difference does it make?

What my fellow stupidd Nigerian called Lionel could not think about is "what if there is RPG attacks?" Will lightly armoured closed vehicle provide protection against RPGs. Those wheelbarrows help in such times as mentioned above where the battle is fierce with motar and IEDs. They become useful when operators have to conduct battle formation.

South Africa will host a large-scale military exercise featuring several African nations from October 19 to November 7‚ Lieutenant-General Derrick Mgwebi‚ the South African Defence Force’s Chief of Joint Operations‚ said on Wednesday.

He said the aim of the Amani Africa II field training exercise‚ which is being conducted by the African Union‚ is to evaluate the state of readiness of the African Standby Force (ASF) and to exercise its rapid deployment capability (RDC).

The exercise will be held at the Army Combat Training Centre in the Northern Cape.

The exercise was originally planned to be conducted in Lesotho in in November and December last year. However‚ due to the political and security situation in Lesotho at the time‚ it was not feasible to conduct the exercise in the kingdom‚ Lt Gen Mgwebi said.

About 5‚400 members from the military‚ police and civilian components representing four of the regional economic regions of the AU will participate in the exercise.

The countries contributing most of the troops for the exercise are Angola‚ Botswana‚ Democratic Republic of the Congo‚ Lesotho‚ Malawi‚ Mozambique‚ Namibia‚ South Africa‚ Swaziland‚ Zambia and Zimbabwe. Other contributing and/or participating countries involved in the exercise are Algeria‚ Burundi‚ Egypt‚ Ethiopia‚ Gambia‚ Ghana‚ Kenya‚ Nigeria‚ Rwanda and Uganda.

Amani Africa is a ki-Swahili phrase meaning ‘Peace in Africa’.

The United Nations has invited South African companies to register and bid for billions of dollars worth of tenders issued each year by the organisation.

Sean Purcell, Chief Field Procurement Service, UN Secretariat Procurement Division, told delegates at the recent Denel Aerospace, Maritime and Defence conference in Pretoria that South Africa is ideally located to be a supplier to the UN, but is not a major one at the moment.

He pointed out that the UN spent $17.2 billion on procurement in 2014, up from over $16 billion in 2013. South Africa accounted for .98% of total spend of the United Nations last year at $169 million – however, 90% of this came from a single air services contract awarded to a local company. Purcell noted that without the contract, SA spend would have been around $10 million.

Air Force jet pilots going to Russia for further training Russia being the latest addition.

A report has it that about 10 pilots from 2 Squadron at AFB Makhado have been selected for further training in Russia. This is a direct outflow of a co-operation agreement signed between the defence ministers of the two countries, Afrikaans weekly Rapport said.

Four pilots are already undergoing training in Cuba and according to SA National Defence Force Chief General Solly Shoke, agreements have also been entered into with the United States and the United Kingdom on various aspects of military training.
