If you like, source out, ridiculous comments from various angles, about Ameachi's purported clearance in the not so distant future, but come next week, you will wake up, to hear of his subsequent exclusion from the list. He will join Ibeto in the land of LOSERS.

Heart attack for the ethnic jingoists. The same Wike who said he's not interested if Amaechi is minister or not is the same man sponsoring petitions here and there against his confirmation. Village mentality politicians. I only pity the gullible ones here who think Wike is fighting for their interest, they will know sooner than later he is fighting for his own survival.
The only reason I am so concerned and against their so called accusation of this man is its ethnic coloration and the tag "traitor and betrayal".

Only fools will think Amaechi will not be screened and confirmed.
Amaechi is the back bone of APC in Rivers state.
APC cannot be alive in Rivers state without Amaechi.
Wike knows with Amaechi as a minister his seat as a governor is shaking.
The powers and previllages wike enjoyed as a minister he knows Amaechi will be accorded same.
It will be a slap on the ruling party to allow wike actualize his devilish plot.
I pity the wailers on NL as they do not know what politics is all about.
The screening will avail Amaechi the opportunity to finish wike on the floor of the senate.

Indeed, Nigeria is back to business as usual, all those noise about change is just for dummies afterall......quote me anywhere, if Amaechi is made Minister of the Federal Republic, many Nigerians will never take Buhari's anti-corruption crusade serious. Buhari is about to mess himself up, to even think a Senate President with corrupt charges of that magnitude is still presiding over Senate affairs is alarming and laughable. What a pity! cry cry cry
lol,you know what I find funny, that all of you accusing amaechi of stealing and kwaraption have not even a shred of evidence to support your claims other the word of some political PDP lunatics

What did ameachi stole that has never been stolen before? Name one ex governor that didn't loot his state? Why is ameachi case very different? Even sariki and akpabio and other ex governor knows that wike is only fighting his personal battle......can wike fully account for the over 100billion he has handled over the last few month either from revenue or borrowed money? The 30 billion for pot hole filling how did it go? Are there still no pot holes in rivers state? Ameachi made his choice and his choice won he has worked so let him also benefit........buhari know what loyalty mean like most of the northerners woke knows nothing about loyalty thats why he can be fighting the man that made him in this manner......its time for wike and his soldiers to shield their sword.........the little fear in a mafia keeps him alive for a very long time.......the reason we fight and run away is so we can be alive to fight another day.........wike wise being a governor is not a position of eternity the dance can change anytime.

Just give Amaechi opportunity to talk and defend himself on the floor of the Senate next week. And watch all the propaganda built against him melt like wax before the fire.

Amaechi 's confirmation is too sure.

Bode Agusto of Lagos State was not confirmed in 2007.

The senators felt that he was arrogant and trying to show that he was smarter than them.

(I watched it live. I can't remember everything that was said, but I do remember that he was arguing with the senators).

Why Agusto was not cleared, by Senator.

From Yomi Odunuga, Abuja Bureau Chief

Category:Politics | Date:2007-08-10

Arrogance and a needless display of his academic brilliance caused Chief Bode Agusto his clearance as a minister after being screened by the Senate, the Vice Chairman Senate Committee on Home Affairs, Chief Nimi Amange, has said.

Amange, in an interview with reporters in Abuja, said Agusto did not satisfy the Senate despite the fact that he answered most of the questions.

Agusto, a nominee from Lagos State, failed to scale the hurdle of the screening by the Senate out of 40 ministerial nominees.

Justifying the Senate’s position, Amange said, "I read one of the papers where a Lagos State senator who is my friend was complaining bitterly about the disqualification of Agusto. The fact is that the Senate did a very proper job as far as I’m concerned.

" The young man is brilliant, but that is not the only criteria required for you to represent Nigeria.

"The young man came and was telling us all sorts of stories. The young man was telling us how his mother went to school, how his children are schooling abroad. How his father has a road named after him in Lagos. Is that what we were there for?"

He faulted Agusto for arguing against the autonomy of the National Assembly, saying that he went beyond the limit.

" If you are a teacher and you give me 10 questions and say, out of 10 questions, answer six. And I say these are easy questions and I decided to answer all. What am I telling the teacher?

"I will fail even if I got all the 10 questions right, I will still fail because I was asked to answer only six."

"PDP, ANPP, and AC senators all voted against his nomination and he failed," he said.

Amange, who is representing Bayelsa East at the upper legislative chamber, also called on the Federal Government to be pro-active in dealing with the crisis in the Niger Delta in order to engender peace.

with the change buhari promised, i never expected to see these old faces.
You expect Buhari to abandon Amaechi? Right now in Rivers State Amaechi is like an orphan. It would only be fair to make him feel loved. Buhari knew the risk Amaechi took in supporting him. If GEJ had won, I can bet my last dime that Amaechi would have been in jail.

Hm. We hear you. So that the matter can remain in court indefinitely and minister from Rivers too go hold on indefinitely. Na you get sense. pass abi? How people expect Buhari who is a victim of smear campaign all his life to listen to jesters is simply amazing. Intelligence and common sense is indeed lacking.

Mr dog-mouth, keep your distance!

No petition or court case can stop the senate from carrying out its function as spelt out in 1999 constitution as amended.

Shut up and stop crying, you have nothing meaningful to contribute. I'm sure you are among those people who promised to commit suicide if he's eventually cleared. Don't worry, your parents love you but the grave loves you more.
