They were all pondering how Fashola could have this knowledge nd allowed Tinubu out play him..

Can't wait to see faces during Amaechi screening oo..
There is different btw core politicians like Tinubu & technocrats like Fashola, without ppl like Tinubu there won't be Fashola, kudos to Tinubu for fishing out technocrats like Fashola, Fayemi etc.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words..These photos say it all.. While Nigerians were impressed by former Lagos governor,Babatunde Raji Fashola's ministerial screening, the senators looked spellbound during his over one hour session..

Fashola who has been confirmed minister became the number one trending topic in Nigeria, was trending in the UK and USA as well.

I watched the youtube video. I really don't see what the hype is all about.
There is nothing new about anything he said. He is a former governor and so is not new in giving speeches on general improved governance.
I was more impressed with kemi adeosun. She went into some very technical specifics and i think her questions were relatively more difficult than fashola's.
She also had the advantage of being cute too. smiley smiley
Kemi adeosun was the best for me, atleast for now.

Kemi Adeosun that does not understand global economics, and explained FDI like a secondary school student. Couldn't even explain diversification in a clear term, trust me she does not understand national/global economic matters enough to manage an institution as big as Ministry of Finance (Nigeria). MPC interest rate is 13% she said 20%, too many inconsistencies.

I still don't understand the hype behind being a minister in Nigeria these days. To me, it's kind of an insult that after being elected Governor of a state for 8years, taking up an appointed position becomes a big deal? For crying out loud, this is an appointment in which they are working under someone.. Buhari can decide to reshuffle cabinet in the next 6 months, these people will be relieved of there duties.

That's true, however, the portfolio of a federal minister and the scope of their operation makes it appear suitable for an ex-governor, same goes with a site at the national assembly or being appointed special assistant to the president.....remember they too are concerned about their career prospect, not necessarily noble but it so.

No Fashola is not as greedy as those others. You picked out 3 contracts out of 200 where you claimed he has over inflated!!!!.
That you even have the record in a public domain is enough to proof you wrong. We don't have access to the records of contracts from the other 35 states to even compare!!!

Fashola is our man Joor..

Yeah.. but they are actually taking orders from someone which if they fall out of favour with, they will be sacked. It's more respectful and better for an ex Governor to seek for senatorial position than minister. My own take is that the media hype is really much on these people.

It is not the job description that is interesting ,more so the opportunity to be seen as part of the executive that brought change to the fortunes and future of the country. Many want to be associated with the Buhari government

Oyegun is not a Senator

APC chieftains were allowed in , before the screening started the majority leader moved a motion which was seconded by the minority leader Akpabio, to form a committee of a whole with the SP as chairman and allow the APC leadership take a seating in the chambers. They sat to the far left of the SP.
