Both the Oba, Eze ndi igbo and even this Afenifere guy are all jobless follows.

If u are an igboman or yorubaman in Lagos how many times have your had recourse to deal with Oba or eze igbo in the last 10years for anything.

Nigerians should learn to be productive and ignore these political jobbers.

Your guys should use North as case study, when northern Street urchin where killing harassing non indignes their élite were encouraging them, the beasts they trained and supported are the ones destroying their région, guess who is smiling now?
From Hakeem articule read and digest

I first noticed this ugly trend at a ceremony I attended a few months ago at Ayetoro Ekiti. Elderly and middle aged able bodied women from Kwara, Osun and Oyo states invaded the burial ceremony uninvited and were embarrassing guests who refused to give them money. Also noticeable were children with their begging bowls who thronged the venue of the ceremony soliciting for left over food and alms. The children were a pitiable sight. Poverty was clearly written on their faces. I have attended many social functions after that and the same trend was noticeable. But I became worried a few days ago, when I attended the burial ceremony of a friend's father in Ilesha , Osun State . They came in various groups and employ different methods in soliciting for alms. There were the elderly women who were busy harassing guests in the name of praise singing and would not leave until you part with money, there were the men with their public address system which they use in praise singing but which is disturbance and yet, there were Yoruba children in the mould of almajiris with their begging bowls scrambling for left-over and at the same time soliciting for alms

I don't support this call outrightly but...

“It is globally accepted that there cannot be two kings in the same domain as there cannot be two captains in the same boat.”

However, this calls is against the spirit of National Unity and Oneness, BUT our Igbo brothers and sisters should tread softly and let understand our limitation when on foreign land until the law is amended.

Agba ki wa lo ja, ki ori omo tuntun wo oooo.

I am proudly Nigerian and not advocating for any tribe / race.

In Akure market an Igbo man was made the boss in a market dominated by Igbos in the ratio of 60:20:20. that is igbo:yoruba:others and the yorubas became very angry why should it be an igbo man. i think this one Nigeria is becoming a mirage on daily basis

Are Akure people the only peace loving people in Nigeria? See how biased you are. I can equally say that Igbos are very peace loving. It's ok for you to also claim that the chief got angry because the so called eze spoke wrongly. I can also confidently tell you that the eze gave whatever response based on the way your chief spoke to him.

I repeat again. The lots of Igbos in the so called 'foreign lands' are very peace loving and non violent. That stance has attracted lots of bullying and unwarranted attacks on them especially their businesses.

I say again...one day these issues would escalate and you would be surprised who would be hardest hit.

Stay the phuck away from their businesses. Create jobs for your people including all those potential babalojas and iyalojas. Go to the cattle market and try that. Of course you wouldn't and you know why.

Those cattle rearers even though they make tremendous amount of money would never invest in estates and reasonable accommodations in that place. They come, leave trails of destruction, make money and leave huge amounts of biological and non degradable wastes and you lot don't do nothing about it. You only shout disrespect and yeebos or flat heads when you are targeting a shop or property to burn.

One day Na one day.
You are simply mad for that statement!
And for the records, no Hausa/Fulani installed an hausa leader in their sabo market in oja Oba like your stupid eze did!
Yeye people!

[quote author=Swiftboy post=39069804]Well he challenged the Oba by appointing a Chieft in charge of Akure market. Thats very wrong. You dont go to someone's house and checking his wardrobe behind his back without getting questioned. It is also wrong for the man to wear crown to meet the Oba. There cant be two Kings in the same town. Even the Yorubas wont dare defy their Kings. It has nothing to do with being Igbos but a representative of Igbo parading himself as King. That Eze title self has convicted him. The hight of it all is his followers saying they are not answerable to the King.[/quote
Well said....May your days be long....
Re: Afenifere Asks South West Govs, Obas To De-recognise Eze Ndi Igbos In Yorubaland by SirShymexx: 11:32am On Oct 17, 2015
I agree with this group. This is how Yorubas need to start handling all those uncultured savages who're hellbent on destroying Yoruba history, culture, tradition, and territorial integrity.

I hope there's no Eze rubbish on any part of Ijebuland - else I shall come out there to blow their brains off. There can only be one king in a kingdom, just as there can only be one president in a country. Yorubaland isn't a conquered territory. If you want to be a fraudulent king - take that nonsense to Igboland and become the king of ya bedroom over there. Yoruba kingship is divine and it's part of Yoruba heritage.

Anyway, I'm still the King/Duke of Nairaland - the supreme ruler and I rule with an iron fist. And let no one challenge my authority. grin grin grin grin

Following a jihad (known as the Fulani War ) led
by Uthman Dan Fodio (1754–1817) and a rapid
consolidation of the Hausa city states of
contemporary northern Nigeria, the Fulani Sokoto
Caliphate annexed the buffer Nupe Kingdom and
began to press southwards towards the Oyo

of Ilorin and then sacked Ọyọ-Ile , the capital city

The emboldened statement in your post obscures the main trigger of the current firestorm.

Question: what authority invested Eze Ndi Igbo with the power to appoint a market leader?

Then comes the story of an Eze. Worried by his alleged disrespect for his host and apparent disdain for the Akure monarchy, the man had been suspended as the Eze Ndigbo by the Deji of Akureland, Oba Ogunlade Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, Odundun II, whose office had bestowed on him the title in the first instance. What was Iloh’s infraction? A market in the city, which had hitherto enjoyed the leadership of indigenes of the state capital, had succumbed to the subtle but powerful mercantile and commercial power of their Igbo brothers. Before the natives knew what was happening, the Igbo had imposed their suzerainty on the market and were not only determining the leadership of the market but ensuring that natives did not have a say in the affairs of their own market.

Worried by what they tagged native colonialism on their own land, a spat had occurred between some Igbo in the market and the natives. Afraid that this could turn violent, the Deji, one of the most humble kings to have ascended the monarchy in this part of the country, was said to have invited the Igbo leader for a meeting last Saturday through his Iru Okun, the king’s staff of office. The insignia was reportedly seized by some Igbo hirelings of the man, while the Eze did not honour the Kabiyesi’s invitation. Oba Aladetoyinbo was said to have invited the man again for another meeting on Monday and the latter stormed the palace wearing his haughtiness and conceit on his sleeves. He was reported to have preened himself in the presence of the Kabiyesi, making calls on his cell phone before him and telling the Deji that even King Solomon in his wisdom could not dare to look down on those who had equal intelligence as him. Disturbed by this ride on a self horse and spit on their king, the chiefs present in the palace had collected his beads. The man reportedly later mobilised some Igbo youth to protest against the monarchy.

Meet Igbo celeb woman who is Iyaloja of Oluwole market in Lagos

https://www.mjemagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Josephine-Onwudiwe.jpg

Igbo business woman, Chief (Mrs) Josephine Okeke Onwundiwe is the Iya Oloja of Oluwole Market, Lagos Island. Mrs Onwundiwe, who is from Anambra State was conferred with the Iyaloja title two years ago and was given a Yoruba name Abeni, on her conferment day.

Onwundiwe, born and bred in Lagos State and married to an Easterner of Igbo extraction, led a delegation of market women when she came to represent Chief Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja General at the Glo Overload N120 million promo event. City People’s Tessy Moore, who was also at the event got Onwundiwe to talk about her life as an Iyaloja in a Yorubaland. Excerpts.

How do you feel as an Iyaloja in a Yorubaland being an Igbo woman?
Oh! I feel great. Being an Iyaloja of Oluwole Market here in Lagos Island is one of the best things that has happened to me. I’m from Anambra State, Udemili Local Government in Ogidi, to be precise. So being an Iyaloja in a Yorubaland is like getting deep into their culture and heritage and a deeper one at that. I’m born and bred in Yorubaland.

So, I so much appreciate it, particularly the person I’m working with, the Iya Oloja General, Chief (Mrs) Folasade Tinubu-Ojo. She is a nice woman and doesn’t discriminate about where you come from. She gives work to whoever she deems fit and doesn’t care whether you are Yoruba or Igbo. There is nothing like tribalism or discrimination in our midst. I really appreciate and admire her a lot.

their king went to see the host community's king wearing a crown, what he can not do in his own town, which indicated there were two kings there present to give orders, and as against every cultures across the world, the youth got angry and kicked him out of the palace, we all know the igbos have respect for nobody, so they sent down igbo youths to go and warn the Yoruba king who happened to be their host! lol.. how can you warn the king? am sure that can not happen anywhere in Igbo land, i have never hear that yoruba youth in Anambra warned the king of the host community, how ever , we can not blame the igbos, we need to educated them about our culture, also ignoring the host community culture is improper, even thou we all know the igbos have no respected king, except the small small chiefs called Ezes with red man united cap, whose there primary duty is to settle quarrels between husband and wife.
