That will be on stock rom. MIUI will take a little time.

By next month, stock Android M ROMs for Xiaomi phones will be everywhere by many developers.

MIUI already have almost all the features you need. Android M for MIUI will be next year. I don't see it coming this year.

When did it start?

Check the last app you installed before the issue and I install it. Probably, it's from what you installed on your phone.

It's not good to install everything on ya phone. Bad guys everywhere.

This was my post sometime last month

It should guide you

The update you downloaded is it the stock ROM or the multi language ROM from xiaomi. EU?

I was initially on the stock ROM, released by MIUI.com n their forum and the battery was wacky and to many Chinese, as soon as aieromon posted the link for the multi language ROM, I changed mine ( thanks to glo, I d able to do it in 2 hours!)

After downloading the multi language ROM, the battery improved greatly

Secondly it is common knowledge that some people don't want to hear the word 'flash'

Well, FYI, I did didn't flash or root my phone to download the multi language ROM

I just used the updater app on the phone, by tapping the the dots above it (...), and choose the file I've already renamed as directed

For people who are sceptic, this phone is very great, especially it's speed

The in built browser ( baidu) is way faster than Uc Browser and opera combined. ( I have both browsers, but I don't use them now)

The picture quality is way better than its specs (better than Meizu's M2 note, which have same spec with it)

Is it the themes or the baidu music player, where you can easily stream and download western songs without going through the browser? By now I think I've listen to almost all the songs one direction would have sang as I continuously stream their songs,
The beauty of it is that you can see the lyrics and sing along with them. Who can beat that on a stock/in built music player?

I've been as astute Meizu fan apart from a few features ,(that are negligible) Redmi is great

I would recommend it for any one

Fyi, Google ' compare Redmi note 2 and Samsung Galaxy s5' and you would never advise any one to buy s5 again!

Xiaomi really took open source to a whole new dimension. I agree with you, xiaomi did a great job and the initiative that allows developers to create their version of miui ROM is just marvelous. 3 Of my friends are now using miui ROM on their non- xiaomi phones and they are loving it.

Am still stuck on miui 6. Downloaded the Hermes ROM from miui.eu but couldn't find any instructions on how to flash via the updater app. I renamed the file to update.Zip and saved it in the root folder of my SDcard.
Kindly guide me through the process please make I no brick

Devices getting ‪#‎MIUI‬ 7 global stable build on Oct. 27 are: Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Pad, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2/ Prime. Starting next Tuesday, many of you will be able to progressively receive the update over-the-air (OTA) on your phones via the Updater app. Don’t worry if you don’t see your device in the list. We’re working hard to get more devices supported as soon as possible. We will share further info regarding other devices in the near future.

I have a new (2 months old) Ulefone Be Touch 2 I want to sell (in perfect condition, no scratches, no stains, still brand new). Still very clean, neat and comes with the complete accessories and casing. Its specs are 5.5inch 1080p display, 1.7ghz 64bit mt6752 octacore processor, 3gig of ram, android 5.1 lollipop, Sony imx214, 13mp camera and 8mp front facing camera with dual flash, 4G LTE, Front High sensitive fingerprint scanner. I am giving it out for 40, got the phone for 53k 2 months ago.

Check my signature for contact, don't want to get banned or call me on O&O-3496I735.

Cut the file and paste it on your phone memory not sd card.

Go to updater, click the 3 dots ...
Select 'choose update package'

This will take you right back to your file explorer, just click on the file you ve saved as updater.zip

Leave the rest to Xiaomi

Your might should restart like 2 or 3 times, after that you're phone should be good

BTW: Xiaomi should release another update by tomorrow, why not wait and download that first?

Click on themes,

Look for customize, click it

You would see different options

You can even change the icons, font etc

E.g, am using the stock lock screen but iOs9 icons, and a classic font
