funlover1: If you've stated in your application that you have no friends and families in the UK, better stick to it to avoid troubles at POE. You can still go to Crystal lodge or any other hotel, probably stay there for one or two nights and move to friend's apartment to be on a safer side. If you've ever watched UK border force, you'll know anything can happen at POE. In case you don't know, if you're subjected to a secondary inspection, an officer has a right to go through your phone, diary and organisers. So avoid incriminating emails, sms, phone calls to your UK contacts. Guide your visa jealously. |

poppywasiu: What exactly do you want? I remember you asked this same question and I told you exactly what your sister has to send to you and the type of visa you need. |

At the POE in Heathrow, the ECO asked to see my hotel reservations, she looked thru it and wrote down the address somewhr. So I don't knw if it's possible for u to get past the POE without showing evidence of hotel reservation. Remember in ur application, u said u will be lodging in a hotel. In my case, I did 3 hotel reservations sha, she saw the 3 reservations and jus wrote down the address of the hotel I will be staying the first night. Yea, I later cancelled other bookings but still booked other hotels later. funlover1: |

FrontPageLawyer: OGreene: Thanks guys.. I plan to cancel booking for crystal hotel because it is too far but book another hotel for the 13 nights, i will go to the hotel on the first night and probably stay the second night also and then cancel booking for the remaining nights and move over to my friend's place. I did not mean to tell them at POE that i will be staying with friends since I had stated in my application that i will be staying in a hotel |

prince1930: Please read my post again, the 858GBP is for both of us. I explained in my post that flight will be more expensive than that now. so you can do 1000gbp for two. I also explain that the remaining (after deducting flight and accomodation) from the 1998GBP is for our living expenses ! |

Hello FrontPageLawyer, justwise On the second paragraph of my cover letter I wrote about few things I was going to do in UK, do I also need to write up a planned travel itinerary? or what I wrote on the cover letter can stand for that. Can a cover letter be extended to 2 pages and more than 4 paragraph? Can I explain about finances on the cover letter or should do that on a separate letter? Thanks |

oreex361: The ECO's are professionals in their jobs. You were probably refused because of your finances. State the context in your refusal letter |

@Oreskid Your application was refused due to insufficient funds and failure to support your application with paper evidence of your stated additional income (Stocks and Shares) The ECO quickly reached a decision knowing fully well that you have a wife and young child to support and you plan to travel to the UK on a holiday that will cost you approximately three months of your monthly earnings. This makes no sense to the ECO considering your economic circumstances in Nigeria. The ECO considered your application as unreasonable to embark on this trip judging from your account balance and the high cost of the trip which does not commensurate to your personal and financial circumstances hence the decision. 1 Like |
