Eziachi:

I did not left out any one on purpose. I used etc and as an intelligent person you knew what that means.

If oil is the issue, there are loads of oil in Ngwa, Egbema, Ohaji, and billions of untapped natural gas in Anambra.

Biafra won't be a repeat of Nigeria obsession with oil. Many top world economies do not have a drop of oil. The most important asset is our brains, not crude oil.

How on earth do claim any one, especially in this 21st century?,Whenever I heard this statement, it makes me shudder. These tribes are not just manufactured, they has been there thousands of years unclaimed, so how do one claim them now.
That is really mind numbing.

Thanks. One carton of Hero. It's even better that most of our Hydrocarbons is in the form of gas (less fungible than oil). We will be forced to utilize it for industrialization.

Why can't you simply join hands with other well-meaning Nigerians to turn our great country into a first class country? Have you ever considered the fact that only 33% of the Igbos resident in Nigeria actually live in the East? You are better off embracing this great country and you do unborn generation of Igbos a disservice by promoting this Biafra. I know that you are a civil war veteran, but even you should be honest with yourself and admit that it is time to let bygones be bygones. You people lost the war - it is a simple fact and nothing to be ashamed of. It is time to move on.
But I don't want to. Why do you think you know what is good for me? What gave you that right when I don't detect for you.
Nigeria is your choice and good luck with it but please respect that my own choice is Biafra. You made your choice but had issues about me making mine. How is that civilised and fair?

Most Yoruba gets their attention boiled up on
the mere mentioned of Biafra seceeding from
Nigeria but we're openly threatening to secede
with their own version of Biafra in Oduduwa if
June 12 wasn't upheld with NADECO and
Afenifere. How we forget very quickly.
Mbanu! June 12 is very far! The recent threat of secession by Afenifere due to the kidnap of Falae by fulani herdsmen nko?

The thing is that every ethnic group wishes to secede but the problem is who will be the first to do it?

All of a sudden, the Biafraudsters are shrinking their landmass back to their original landlocked gully eroded land.

This is an aftermath of series of rejections they have witnessed in recent times and I can only imagine the psychological blow it dealt these clowns.

As usual, they must find a way of dragging yorubas into any of their issues.

I understand that you don't want to and I respect that.

With due respect, I think your stance is selfish. If you think of the betterment of generations unborn in Igboland, you would not be promoting an idea which could very well lead to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of them, while you sir, will remain in the comfort of your warm house in diaspora. Give these kids a chance to live!

Yorubas have no problem with you lots seceding from Nigeria and I expect you to know but what you should tell us here is why can't you people do your thing without dragging other people into your trouble? .

Only a few misguided agitators are 'dragging other people into (your) trouble'.

A lot of us joining the agitation for Biafra make it clear that the route we are pursuing this time around for Biafra is through a UN backed referendum of ethnic nationalities; however our main interest is in our Igbo kith and kin all over the lower Niger, which includes the current SE and those who have found themselves, due to the mischief of those whose aim is to strangulate us, within some of the SS states.

We are not interested in ethnic nationalities that have no sense of shared ancestry, history or culture with us. We are not interested in another Niger area.

As to the question of whether your ethnic group, which i am guessing is Yoruba, has a problem with the secession of the Igbo and friends of Ndigbo from Nigeria, let whoever wants to know the answer use the evidence scattered all over the social media to reach their own conclusions.

The vast majority of Igbo people are law abiding and hardworking. They've already joined hands and are working towards the betterment of this great nation. You will find them across the country from Lagos to Sokoto and beyond. You minorities who wish to ferment trouble will be severely dealt with by the authorities.

Biafra that has nothing to do with the uselessness
they found themselves as nonentities with no iota

It's funny how some miserable tribes who have
absolutely nothing to do do with Biafra spends all
their lives and days wailing over Biafra
Who wants a Biafra with the itshekiri sobos edos yorubas or
even Ijaws? Biafra is for Igbos and I mean every
inch of Igbo land beginning from delta state to
rivers state. And probably a few other willing tribes
who have been with Biafra from time immemorial.

No it's not tribal.
Unless you think that Nigeria fighting independent from Britain is tribal to the British?
Biafra issue has nothing to do with tribe. It's about us wanting independent from Nigeria like Scotland wanted from Britain. Is the Scots tribal?
What is tribalism?
You are welcomed to be a Biafra citizen if you applied and granted, irrespective of you ethnicity. This is not Nigeria.

Let's rest that for now and talk about our home, Biafra. Good points you made there.

P.S - Tell Nwannekaenyi Kenny Okwu-Kanu and others, who have hijacked a "legitimate" cause, that the all encompassing approach would only result in sorrow, tears and blood. I would say no more for now.

Eziachi:
It makes me smile how Nigerians boils with enthusiasm on the mention of Biafra. Something they don't have for their beloved Nigeria.

Biafra people knew themselves, as its in their blood and in their DNA. Outside that, anyone that wanted to be a citizen of Biafra will have to apply for it.

All those idiots whining everyday how they are being forced to become part of Biafra are like me crying that the English royal family are forcing me to become the next in the line of throne to succeed the queen. I can only dream!

All these Urhobo, Itshekiri, Edo and the likes of them including to a large extent Yoruba for thousands of years before the creation of Nigeria has no dealings with indigenous peoples Biafra, be it in trade, inter marriage, religion or culture.

You are not Biafra and no one wants you as part of Biafra. Even if you wanted, Biafra people will say no. We well understood your opposition to anything that includes Ndigbo but don't hide behind that natural dislike to start fantasizing that anyone want you in Biafra.
PLEASE NO ONE WANTS A NEW BIAFRA THAT INCLUDES YOU!!!.

Itshekiri is too insignificant to be twisting themselves that they are wanted or to be claimed by anybody.

How ironic everybody is an expert on Biafra including those who cannot even figure out or establish who their real natural fathers are with their mothers.

It very childish among the half baked experts, that non is talking about a referendum if you so refined, so that you can show through your vote how much you love Nigeria. Nigerians are known for their hypocrisy.
You cannot be more refined than British that granted a referendum in Scotland and Scots made their choice, instead of: you MUST be part of Britain whether you like it or not and with a 1001 reason why Scotland won't succeed.

In any refendum, all these insignificant tribes currently claiming fake and insincere allegiance to Nigeria will be the first to jump the ship.
But for their natural hate of Ndigbo, they opposed something they had wished for themselves, being independent from Nigeria. Throwing away the baby with the birth water.

Most Yorubas are most vocal in this opposition to Radio Biafra recently but they forgot Radio Khudirat so soon.

Most Yoruba are more vocal about non armed MASSOB but forgot their arms importation into Benin Republic and training of rebel army in neighbouring Togo during the Abacha era.

Most Yoruba gets their attention boiled up on the mere mentioned of Biafra seceeding from Nigeria but we're openly threatening to secede with their own version of Biafra in Oduduwa if June 12 wasn't upheld with NADECO and Afenifere. How we forget very quickly.

Whoever you are or whoever you wished you would have wished, please stop making noise about something that has nothing to do with you called Biafra.

You have called Biafra landlocked it didn't stop anything.

You have blackmail us with immaterial properties all over Nigeria, still no one cares.

You have used some Igbos within Biafra itself, it didn't work.

You had tried who is Igbo and who isn't, it's still not working. Even with Ayo Irikife boundaries commission after the war

You have used state apparatus throughout OBJ, Yar Adua, Jonathan, era to murder defenceless MASSOB members but it didn't stop it but rather increased the agitation.

For 45 years you claimed Biafra is dead instead of expressing it as your wishes and that doesn't work either. Just like China wishing that Tibet is dead.

As a Biafra citizen I have more in common in terms of culture, food, inter marriage and outlook in life through historical evidence with the current English Cameroonians than you Yorubas, Urhobo, Itshekiri, Edo etc.
So stop rejecting a lover that had never fancied you or let alone in love with you.

You are no Biafra, no one wants you in Biafra, spend more of your fantasy life thinking how to fix your paradise Nigeria.
We are sick and tired of your voyeurism.

Please how do I mail you a bottle of beer?

Because I was just preparing to call the bluff of those miserable lots with no form of identity or history who spend their miserable life wailing over Biafra that has nothing to do with the uselessness they found themselves as nonentities with no iota of value.

As for this dumbo I quoted, isn't it better you go and ask your leaders to quickly send emissary to Fulani's in the north before they totally conquer the endangered yoruba tribe instead if crying about biafra?

Why 'dealing' with them when you can simply subject the agitation to a referendum and end it once and for all. If we really want a one and United Nigeria, let the people make the choice themselves and not by coercion or force

First of all i appreciate your respect. It is indeed mutual.

In my post i have not blamed the Yoruba for anything. I am intelligent enough to know that the vituperations of a few misguided people online does not represent the views of the generality of the Yoruba. A lot of my friends are well educated and accomplished Yoruba professiobals with whom i am able to discuss my views about Biafra. They respect this. And i respect the views of those of them who think the Igbo should forget Biafra and build instead Nigeria together with the rest of them. They are the voice of the Yoruba people that i take seriously and not those of the half baked mischievious tribalists, who if you must be honest, create the impression of not wanting the Igbo to pursue what they see to be the best for them.

If it did come across in my post that i blame the Yoruba for the current problems of the Igbo, then i apologise. I actually think that both ethnic groups stand a far better chance of success working together as partners either in actualizing seperate soveriegn nations for themselves or in achieving a truly federal and just union of equals within Nigeria. The latter is the only thing that will stop the agitation for Biafra.

Edited: On re-reading i realise that the poster was refering to Dede Eziachi when he stated he respects the OP. My bad! The content of my post is still relevant though.

There is ONE TRIBE that MAJORLY becomes afraid anytime BIAFRA is mentioned, and tries to bring discord among biafrans through their posts. I mean SOME of them. They don't even know why they are afraid as regards biafran issues. They wish that they can have such an intrepid nature like the biafrans to resist any intimidation from others. They feel so delighted when they see any slight disagreement among biafrans. Your guess on who they are is as good as mine. Let me tell them that what they fear most about the freedom of biafrans from Nigeria will surely happen.

A truly classic post.

Well, not that the OP really said anything new.
WHEN Biafra comes, it will likely be stampeded by the same people speaking against it today.
Nigerians and hypocrisy are like inseparable siamese twins!
But we shall then wait for them at the gates because such hypocrisy is unBiafran!

Just the PEACE and SERENITY that Biafra brings by virtue of its very nature trumps all other things.
Austria and Switzerland are two of the most beautiful countries in the whole world:
Peaceful, innovative, hardworking, serene, safe.
That is what Biafra will aim to be!
