CompleteSportsNigeria: Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has listed Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins for a recall to the national team for the World Cup qualifier against Swaziland in November after a two-year absence, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Completesportsnigeria.com checks showed that the return of Martins, who has been scoring freely in the United States first-tier Major League Soccer is the highlight of the 24-man list Sunday Oliseh submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation.

Also listed according to a decent NFF secretariat source are Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and Hull City’s Sone Aluko as well as Hope Akpan, among other regular suspects like Carl Ikeme, Mikel Obi and Victor Moses.
Complete Sports gathered further that Oliseh invited 18 foreign-based players that include Odion Ighalo, Efe Ambrose, Shehu Abdullahi, Leon Balogun, Elderson Echiejile, Sylvester Igbonu, Rabiu Ibrahim, Simon Moses and skipper Ahmed Musa.

Eight home-based players led by the Sunshine Stars of Akure duo of Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Tunde Adeniyi will be joined by ChimaAkas, Austin Oboriakpo and Gbolahan Salami.

That was a nice Move. Good one Coach thats a Strong Team very strong. With Moses,Iheanacho,Martins,Ighalo,Musa and Aluko up front there will be goals i hope Moses doesn't refuse this time

Moses keeps skipping mundane friendly Super Eagles matches all in the name of 'avioding injuries'.

How can you effectively blend and maintain cohesive football with the team if you constantly solicit for omission from the squad during friendly matches. or are you saying other players in camp are not vulnerable to injuries as well?

Moses's frivolous exercise towards the recent international friendly games crystally depicts that he has developed a slight or flamboyant apathy for the national team.

Such heinous mindsets and actions should not be assented anymore by NFF or the Coach.

A witty and patroitic player should be zealous and commmited to representing the national team when the need arises at such particular time.

strong enough team, I'm not sold on the whole Martins' inclusion.....he's served his purpose in the past. Success would have been a better, younger inclusion rather than Martins who may not be able to keep up with the speed of the wingers.

Forget MLS antics, anyone can look great in the MLS

Martins might really not have performed in the National team. But if you have watched any of his games with Seattle Sounders, you'll see he is a better player now. Oliseh made a bold move.

While I was expecting this man to open his briefcase and give me a
cheque too, I suddenly heard a noise from behind me,
"CUT!!! CUT!!! CUT!!! MR MAN, YOU CAN'T INTERRUPT OUR
FILM."
