No SugarCoatings, No pancaking, No disguises, No sweetalks.
Here are raw data and statistics on Nigerian Oil Production.

Oil production Figures
National Production = 1,605,000 barrels per day (One Million, 605 Thousand barrels) as at timing of report.
Current Production hovers around 2.5-2.7 Million barrels per day

Total National Oil reserves 37.2 Billion Barrels
Producer ranks:

1 - Akwa Ibom
2 - Delta
3 - Rivers
4 - Bayelsa
5 - Ondo
6 - Edo
7 - Imo
8 - Abia

How much does each Oil producing state obtain from the 13% derivation formula?

Note: Cross River state's former oil wells have been ceded to Akwa Ibom after boundary adjustment. (Hence the blank)

Additional Liquid and Semi-liquid Hydrocarbon resources in Nigeria (Reserves)
Nigeria has 42 Billion barrels more of oil in the form of extractable Heavy Oils, from large bitumen belts lying dormant.

The government should look more into the Heavy Oils department.
Canada produces a lot of oil from the Athabasca Oil sands.

Ondo state became an oil producing state through rogue boundary adjustment perpetrated during the regime of olusegun obasanjo.
Niger delta should continue to play dumbness and stupidity.
The same obasanjo wanted to take gas from brass to OK lng until Jonathan miraculously stepped in to power.
This is the real reason why yorubas never forgave Jonathan.

Which rogue boundary adjustment is that? What were the ceded communities?
the boundary of Ondo state has remained the same since the days of the Old western region.
If anything , they should have allowed the Itsekiris of the three Warri LGA'S to vote to join the Western region as an hypothetical Warri state, or the Mid-West at its creation.

You people are shameless concoctionists who can lie for Africa.
You will stop at nothing in shoving your stupid agenda down everyone's throats.
In case you don't know, Nigeria's first oil was actually discovered in Ondo state in a place called Araromi, not Oloibiri in Bayelsa. (Although the first export came from Oloibiri)

Bitumen Corporation (a German company) was the first company to explore crude oil in Nigeria as far back as 1908 when traces of it was found at Araromi in the present Ondo state. This pioneering exploration was brief due to the World War 1 (1914 – 1918). But, in 1937 Shell started exploratory activities after been awarded the sole concession rights that covered the whole territory of Nigeria.
http://nigeriadaily..ca/2009/10/crude-oil-crisis-in-nigeria.html

So, tell me how the rubbish you posted above there is true, when Ondo has always been an old Oil producing state, and I suspect there is even more, though not on the same levels as the big players such as Akwa Ibom and Delta.

Well, I guess if I did some boundary adjustments that would involve specially and carefully carving out the oil producing areas of Ondo into Delta state, and granting the Ilajes and the Arogbo/ apoi Ijaws minority status and distinct ethnicities in Delta state, as was done to the oil producing parts of Southern Igboland that ended up in Rivers state.

I guess we will have a different picture here, wouldn't we?

Noisemaking. Did they also curve out Lagos state from Rivers?

Looking at the map, I can now understand why Ibos want the forced SS/SE relationship and their renewed claim on Ijawlands.

Anambra has started producing oil but Lagos is Still prospecting

Lagos is no more prospecting, Production is expected to begin this year from the Aje Oil field (In the Dahomey basin).
They are prospecting, FOR MORE.

Lagos Set To Join Oil Producing States As Production Begins This Year

Drilling has started on the Aje 5 production well in Aje field offshore Nigeria, paving the way for first oil on the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel development.
The three-phase development, starting with two production wells, Aje 5 and a re-entry of Aje 4, will use Rubicon Offshore International's Front Puffin FPSO, which is currently being refurbished in Singapore.
The two Phase I development wells are being drilled using Saipem's Scarabeo 3 semisubmersible drilling rig, in about 300m water depth, with the first well due to take about 70 days before moving on to re-enter and complete the Aje 4 well.
According to partner MX Oil, the Phase 1 Aje development, in the OML 133 license, in the Dahomey Basin, close to the border with Benin, is targeting first oil in December 2015 and peak gross production of 41 API oil from Aje 5 and 4 is expected to reach 11,000 b/d. Phase 2 is targeting an increase in gross production to 19,000 b/d from an additional two-well development.
According to partner Panoro Energy, The Aje Field contains hydrocarbon resources in sandstone reservoirs in three main levels - a Turonian gas condensate reservoir, a Cenomanian oil reservoir and an Albian gas condensate reservoir.
Installation of the production manifold, flowlines, umbilicals and risers on the field is due to take place in Q4 2015. The 245.6m-long Front Puffin is fitted with a disconnectable submerged turret mooring system, which connects to the seabed via a submerged buoy and multiple leg mooring spread.
The vessel was built in 1990 and converted to a DP shuttle tanker in 1994 and then an FPSO in 2007, in order to work offshore north west Australia for Sea Production on blocks AC/P22. It has a tandem offtake mooring system and floating hose arrangement and facilities for gas lift compression for artificial lift.
Aje is operated by Nigerian firm Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum (YFP). The other partners are Jacka Resources, New Age, First Hydrocarbon Nigeria, and Energy Equity Resources.
Further exploration operations in the Dahomey basin offshore Western Nigeria are ongoing.

https://idahosaejalen./2015/07/19/mx-oil-acquired-stakes-in-aje-field-offshore-nigeria/

If Production from Aje alone can reach 19,000 barrels per day as planned, then Lagos will displace Imo state into 8th largest oil producer and sit at 7th spot, from just one oilfield.
The Ogo field is even Larger.

Who created those? They were created in 1970 not in 1960.
And they were created by Gowon and co in such away to deny the Igbo hinterland of any oil producing Igbo communities.

Do you think oil production wells were already that well known at the time? Infact production from Oloibiri which was the country's first commercial oil well peaked in 1964. Even today, we are still adding more and more oil production sites. So if a huge field is discovered somewhere in Ogun in 2018, Ondo might suddenly cry foul and say the land used to be theirs? Even if it wasn't
What I was trying to say is that before these two states, most areas were already administered under divisions. Ikwerres, Ekpeyes, etc were under the Ahoada division, not under the Owerri/Imo division

"The war aim and (final) solution properly speaking of the entire problem, is to discriminate against the Igbos and in their own interest. Such discrimination would include above all the detachment of those oil-rich territories in the Eastern Region, in addition, the Igbos' freedom of movement would be restricted, to prevent their renewed penetration into other parts, leaving any access to the sea to the Igbos, is quite out of the question, "(Federal Nigerian Minister speaking to E. Wait, how can you say anyone is denying igbos access to sea, when Igbo territory as we know it doesn't really get to the sea?
Igbos are like Edos, part of their territory is really really close to the sea, but they don't quite get there.

Yes, I know, the Ikwerres were under PH division and the Ekpeyes were under Ahoada, but these groups were essentially Igbo speaking, and we're only separated from the rest of the Igbo nation because of crude oil politics. The East central Gowon created were made up of many Igbo speaking divisions as well.
Before PH division was created, Ikwerres and Etched were in Owerri division.
It was out of Owerri division that Aba and PH divisions were created for Ngwas and Ikwerres.

The 1970 division was crude oil directed.

Asaba was also under Benin division, while Kwale was in Aboh division under Delta
Infact, it was the Ndokis who were a bone of contention between Rivers and Owerri divisions who were ceded to the latter.
