Nigeria's political structure was rigged by Awusa soldiers. Nigeria cannot stand under the extant political structure. Biafra struggle has been on before Jonathan, and must continue until Biafra is realized.

According to him, since after the Nigerian civil war which ended in 1970, the Igbos  have made tremendous progress in business, entrepreneurship, academics, politics and very sphere of life, stressing that their future is better guaranteed and sustained within a united Nigeria.

Bro, stop trying too hard to twist facts. There's no doubt that Ipob and radio biafra existed before 2015. I am also not arguing that you've been an adherent even long before 2015. But coming here to say it became popular only after Buhari's government tried to jam its frequency or arrest it's people, that is obviously you trying too hard to turn logic on its head. The FG before 2015 never cared about Radio Biafra simply because it was not popular and was insignificant distraction. Radio biafra became popular only after the 2015 election results were announced and it was only because of its radically growing popularity and massively growing followership, that's why the FG heard and decided to give a damn about it by attempting to jam the frequency.

Using its popularity on Nairaland as a case study, I doubt there were up to 5 threads talking about Biafran secession or IPOB or radio biafra in the last 5 years (preceding the 2015 election). But since May 28th till date, I wouldn't doubt if there are now up to 500 pro-Biafran threads on this website. Radio biafra was simply a soothing hope reviving alternative where thousands of Igbos who felt really sad over the election result decided to turn to. Trying to separate the rising popularity of Kanu/RB from the events of the election is simply illogical and childish.

My concern for these misguided elements is that unlike other lawless agitations that were coordinated from hideout, theirs is traceable to their homes and communities making their kins vulnerable to lawful crackdowns.

Radio Biafra was not any soothing relief. That Biafrans have no interest in being part of Nigeria is nolonger news as we have a 3year civil war to prove that.

Radio Biafra only reminded Ndiigbo why we fought to leave Nigeria, they gave facts and predictions, predictions which played out exactly the way they made it.
When it was dawning on most of us that MASSOB had been compromised and lost their purpose, IPOB arose and provided an alternative route, that is proving more effective, and the result is that they are today enjoying the same exact popularity amongst Biafrans that Uwazuruike and MASSOB enjoyed when he( Uwazuruike) came out New with his new methods for Biafran actualization.

And if I remember well, Uwazuruike Enjoyed so much popularity from Ndiigbo that he was able to close down Igbo shops all over the country and OBJ saw him as a national threat and jailed him. He came out of that jail a compromised man, and Biafrans sensed his methods were no longer working, so his popularity died a natural death.


Nnamdi Kanu is new, and has come with New message for Biafra actualization, so like Uwazuruike, he has attracted popularity amongst Biafrans and followership too, and like Uwazuruike before him, he has attracted the attention of the Nigerian leaders and is now in jail.

If he comes out of this jail a compromised man, and Ndiigbo sense his methods are no longer working, he too will lose his popularity and like Uwazuruike before him slip into mediocrity.

The Biafran Dream proved bigger than Ojukwu, for it lives even after he had died. It will outlive Uwazuruike, Kanu Nnamdi or any other mortal being.

Its an insult to Biafrans to tie our Biafran struggle to the happenings in Nigeria.

They do not sell sense in the market. Nigeria's rigged politica structure is behing the agitation for Biafra.
For more than 16 years since return to democracy, the Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Edo, Ogoni etc from the south of Nigeria have begged the north for political restructuring of Nigeria in a democratic way. But north refused and uses its undue large number of representatives drawn from north's undue large number of states to stop all attempts at political restructuring.

One northern region of Nigeria at independence was created into 20 federating units, but two southern regions were assigned only 17 federating units. Use of land mass as yardstick to generate new federating units as was done in creating states in Nigeria is a huge fraud.

Biafrans wouldn't take that any more.
