National president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo gave the warning after consultation with the South-West organisations’ leaders in Abuja.

Ahmadu Bello of blessed memory was a regional leader, not a national leader and as such his statements were strictly in northern interest.

This does not however take away the callousness of the statement, and cannot be logically extrapolated to suggest co-ordinated attacks half a century later in a modern democracy.
