codedguy1:I repeat, Rooney played better than his normal shyte, but it was still shyte Thos are your words and you mentioned Martial and Blind (who was at fault for the Doumbia chance btw) Played better than rooney If rooney didn't score in this game he still played very well. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 5:55pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
SIRcumalot:rooney was a disgrace for most parts of the game. he was decent to good in the first 20 mins. then he was anonymous for the rest of the game until he scored a sitter from 4 yards. after the goal, he disappeared again. meanwhile, young & lingard were good value for money. they didn't hide at any point in the game like rooney did for about 60 mins in the game. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SIRcumalot: 6:05pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
coogar:Your are too hard on this guy Rooney was one of our most consistent peformance in the whole game. So you didn't see the chance he created for lingard few minutes after he scored ? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 6:07pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
[/i] SIRcumalot:He had a good performance compared to the constant shyte he had been serving. The good performance (compared to his regular dung) was still not up to par. It only looked like a good performance because of his regular shyte. I keep repeating myself!!!! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 6:08pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
SIRcumalot:what about the golden chance rooney squandered just before he scored? you often forget this fat cow earns £300k/week. when you get paid that much, you are expected to deliver like messi/ronaldo/suarez. i ain't hard on rooney.... to whom much is given, so much more is expected. the standard has fallen considerably concerning rooney's performance. if he controls a pass these days, it means he has played well. ![]() |

SO ROONEY PLAYED WELL? No wonder? I must have mistakenly switched to the "eurovision singing contest" instead of the "european champions league last night" that's wny I missed his superb jogo display! Looool......... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SIRcumalot: 6:40pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
coogar:Soon as you mentioned value for money I already know you'll bring up the Salary issue. That wasn't a golden Chance the defender clearly blocked his first goal attempt. Did he not win a penalty that wasn't called yesterday did he not create chances in yesterday's game or score a goal ? Am not saying we absolve the man of his Sins just give credit when it is deserved. We can go back to screaming curses at the man or attacking his wife next game God forbid he fails to perform. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SIRcumalot: 6:43pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
funlord:Wetin you want step over and plenty nutmeg from Rooney ? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 6:50pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
SIRcumalot:any elite striker would score from that chance. the pass from mata arrived but rooney's lack of a left foot prevented him from taking advantage in his first attempt. however, rooney's mediocrity meant he couldn't control the ball & thus dragged the ball beyond his right foot. martial would have scored from the same chance. Did he not win a penalty that wasn't called yesterday did he not create chances in yesterday's game or score a goal ?his OPTA stats are with me. rooney was average in the game but like i have said earlier, it is an improvement from the previous games where he's served shyte! Am not saying we absolve the man of his Sins just give credit when it is deserved.your standard has fallen! this is what relativity does to people. when one has been subjected to shyte for so long, any small thing becomes overblown. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SIRcumalot: 7:37pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
coogar:The defender on rooney foiled the first attempt 2nd try was when he got his leg tangled. Still he was calm enough to score the winning goal when he had another chance. My standard remain where it is I never said Rooney was the best player yesterday that was Smalling. I just recognize when someone has played a very well. If either Herrera or Mata played exactly what rooney played yesterday you won't be this critical of their performance infact you'll do the opposite. |

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Rooney (vs CSKA @ Old Trafford) = Not good, but certainly not bad. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 8:12pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
SIRcumalot:a striker earning £300k/week got his leg tangled when all he had to do was cop some composure and score? are you aware it was rooney himself that dragged the ball beyond his right foot & ultimately screwed up the chance. Still he was calm enough to score the winning goal when he had another chance.the standard has fallen! rooney scoring from a clear-cut chance put on a plate for him by lingard is what you are wowing about. i am sure you would ask for a public holiday if rooney scores a ronaldoesque long ranger. ![]() My standard remain where it isrooney didn't play very well. it was a mediocre performance, you have been hoodwinked by relativity. if you have been watching your 20 inch TV & then travel to a place where the TV is 14 inches, it would appear smaller in your eyes. after a while, the 14 inches would become normal to you. the next time you go back to your original 20-inch TV, it would appear larger in your eyes. If either Herrera or Mata played exactly what rooney played yesterday you won't be this critical of their performance infact you'll do the opposite.herrera & mata do not earn £300k/week. to whom much is given, so much more is expected. matter of fact, if any of the spaniards perform that way, it wouldn't surprise me cos they almost always deliver good performances week in week out. it's always expected of them to deliver. |

Elf the gayner chopping it as usual... luck happens only once. As bad as Manchester United is going forward, defensively Arsenal can only dream to be as compact. |

We are Bayern Munich without the pace in the final third. Yesterday was the first time i saw us consistently try to ask questions of the opposition's defence this season-If we can just maintain that tempo. |

coogar:£300k/week is alota money I agree with you |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 9:52pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
The main difference i saw in Rooney is that he looked a bit more threatnening, but apart from the goal he was average at the very best. It seems like he lost possession easily and misplaced passes quite a bit. He got the goal though so not complaining. Hopefully, its the start of some goalscoring form for him. Attacking was decent andslightly better than recently. Lingard made a huge difference, martial had a poor game which i guess was to be expected. Still not impressed with our quality in the final 3rd. Mata was surprisingly very poor. Badly need a fix this winter window. |

“Jesse Lingard is going to be some player,” he said three years ago. “He is 19, came through our youth system and is built like Jean Tigana was for France. “But he never got into the limelight there until he was about 24, and I think that will be the same with Lingard. “He will become a player when he’s 22 or so. As an attacking midfielder he has got a really good talent. I think he will be a player we have high hopes for, definitely.” SAF....... could ds prophecy be coming true? |

See as bayern beat up arsenal like a thief caught in a market square? Pathetic! LOL!! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Joeace3000(m): 10:46pm On Nov 04, 2015 |
I Think the FA should look into organizing a fourth and fifth place play off at the end of the season to determine who will qualify for Champions league. That way the coefficient can begin to increase again with tottenham and Liverpool. Let them make the fourpy a true tournament since that is Arsenal's best level |

PietroRico:That's what makes the league competitive when a team can aspire to be top 4 and play the CL Unlike the useless epl that the top 4 position is always fixed. mochengladbach bayern schalke Wolfsburg Leverkusen Dortmund those 7 teams can all make top 4 I can predict now that 3 of city arsenal chelsea and manure would make the top 4 again this season |

dopeJemi:Different clubs have their reason of playing Some for the trophy some for top 4 some for mid table and some to avoid relegation Are Norwich Eibar Sassaulo and Watford playing for the trophy? Are spurs torino sociedad liverpool bilbao Everton playing for the trophy? Is arsenal playing for the trophy Explain to us how a league is competitive when the top 4 is fixed. 4 positions out of 20. 1/5th of the league |
