There are less stress on Enugu infrastructure, population is low predominatly middleclass with less slums and shanties, unlike most nigerian cities. For those arguing that PH swallowed neighboring villages to create those shanties, thats not an excuse. Pic 1 and 2 are Obosi "vilages" while 3 and 4 are Nkwelle Ezunaka "villages" being consumed like wild fire by expansion of Onitsha, yet no shanty was created.the actually have newer neighbourhoods than main onitsha

I can confirm that Idumota aspect as I frequent that place with my sister often,first time I went and upon exiting third mainland bridge I first thought I was in an Igbo market like onitcha,they were as many as ants attracted to sugar.

With all that money and the little Enugu State has, Enugu is still drawing landmarks with your cities. Not to talk of the fact that 'Port Harcourt' is not up to twice the population of Enugu.

We all know Enugu is not up to Port Harcourt in anything. Some people made that fallacious comparison.

Aesthetically and in some other ways Enugu is more liveable, while Port Harcourt is cheaper and you can make more money there.

I am tired of having this same arguments allover.

We have thrased this issue before now..Enugu will literally break with the pressure from the population of Port Harcourt.

Live in PH during thr festive period when most people have travelled home for xmas and you'll definitely appreciate the infrastructures and liveabilty of PH.

We are trying to maintain "sanity" in PH given the fact that every January we have to deal with a new wave of bushmen from Igboland who flock down to PH with their Uncles, cousins, Aunts and relations to seek a livelihood in the oil city.

[b]Those village people [/b]though not limited to only Igboland will now contribute to an already bad situation and pile extra pressure on us both in terms of sanitation, security, social welfare, strain on social amenities etc..They contribute little to the advancement of the city, but we have not much option but to manage them as they're our countrymen.

Menabadoo should count the number of Enugu indigenes contributing to PHs problems..we desrve him commendation for accommodating his brothers that ran away from ecomonic stagnation in Enugu and not wayward and flawed cimparison.

Stop using the "village" in a derogatory way while talking about SE, leave that attitude to the grossly untravelled yorubas. the so called villages in SE are one million times better than those Ikwerre shaties that deface PH. For example, pic 1 and 3 are Aguleri "village" in Anambra state, while pic 3 and 4 are Abiriba "Village" in Abia state

So because I wrote the obvious truth that Enugu is a village compared with Port Harcourt it becomes hating. Enugu has bad roads and slums too but because there is little political battle, the opposition has not adopted the method of taking pictures of bad spots and posting on the net as a way of undermining PDP.
