What happened to learning from Afghanistan, Somalia or Yemen?

In spite of all the huge money generated and available to Nigerian cities, Accra or Abidjan are better managed than any Nigerian city EXCEPT Enugu.

For instance, Imagine that Addis Ababa spent 25% of what Lagos and Rivers already sunk into the so called Mono-rail. Yet Addis Ababa has a functional light rail system and Lagos and Rivers have not achieved 10% completion of their project?

Learning from any Nigerian city is learning how to waste enormous funds to achieve so little.

As much as i don't want to derail this wonderful thread, ease up on the lies abeg. I am happy our cities are learning from one another, at this pace, anambra will start its own rail construction soon

Made in Anambra Patrol Vans where donated by Anambra State govt to the Nigeria Navy which also have their base in the state!.The govt also provided Water Ambulances & some Patrol gunboats!.The Naval Base is at Odekpe Ogbaru Lga of Anambra State. The base is Still under construction in Which Anambra State is Financing with between 200 to 500milion Naira!.

It is understandable for a Navy to have land vehicles for non operational duties. But , what the hell is the Navy doing with land patrol vehicles in my state, Anambra? I am begining to believe those who says Willie is habitually brutal and power drunk.

Is this not the same Navy that killed peaceful protesters sharing pamphlets the other day?

I don't think that was Obiano's intention, he's only strengthening the naval force so as to secure the riverine parts of the state, no ulterior motives. Don't let us overblow this.

You don't have to sound too sure when you make assumption. I've lived in PH, the Navy in PH has land patrol vehicles even air force. The army is never enough to cover the state land during crisis. It's very unfortunate that some people lost their lives in the course of the protests. No one had to die, if they were peaceful sharing pamphlets like you said, I don't think the military would have opened fire on them. When you take to the streets for a protest, you don't have to force others to join you, you could only beg and convince them to join you. The protesters force other people to lockup their shops and join them, I don't think that's peaceful. In as much as I'm in support of actualization of Biafra, I don't think this is the best way to achieve it.

Our refinery is in Nsugbe,Gas plants,Agrobusinesses,River transportation businesses,Tourism, Aviation maintence & training institute,Proposed maritime training institute & dockyard,Ogbaru free trade zone,Oil & gas Wells from Ogbaru to Anyamelum areas,Onitsha River port & bridges,A lot of industries & businesses arround Onitsha coastal areas also needs constant Naval/Police patrols.

Army offers free medical treatment to Anambra people

NNEWI — WHILE Nigerians were celebrating the 55th Independence Anniversary on October 1, the 82nd Division of the Nigerian Army chose the day to offer free medical services to the people within the division.
In Enugu, the Acting General Officer Commanding, GOC, of the division led the team of military health officers to Nike, to attend to the rural people while the Onitsha Military offered free medical services at Aguleri in Anambra East Local Government of the state. Aguleri, a river-rine area, had not seen government presence, until Mr. Peter Obi and subsequently Willie Obiano who incidentally is from the area where 315 patients were treated, assumed office.
The next port of call for the service on October 2nd 2015 was Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area of the state, where the people of the area came out with joy to receive the team. The traditional ruler of the area, Igwe Peter Oforkansi personally helped in arranging seats for both the visitors and his people to the astonishment of the visitors.
A National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, doctor who was in the Army team of medical personnel fell just short of weeping, for the show of humility of the traditional ruler, whom he described as “the man at home with his people.” Altogether, over 6,000 patients were treated by medical personnel from the division with 2,310 of them coming from the seven remote communities of Aguleri, Anaku, Nise, Ozubulu, Ekwulobia, Enugwu Ukwu and Obosi in Anambra State within the one week of free medical service.

It was a very busy last week for Anambra state government lead by Gov Willie Obiano, as he launched many programs and initiatives that Will go a long way to improving the lives of Ndi Anambra and visitors to the state

Last week we witnessed

1. The commissioning of the newly rehabilitated, re engineered and re equipped Orumba General Hospital Ajali

2. The inauguration of Anambra state daily road sweepers

3.The Anambra state road maintenance agency under the zero potholes policy of the governor

4. The commencement of work by IDC at the erosion threatened Nkpor flyover.

5. The laying of foundation stone for Anambra state computerised vehicles inspection building and facilities
And many other urban renewal policies launched this week to enhance our environment , for betterment of our society and to improve the standard of life for Ndi Anambra and visitors to the state.

Anambra is making progress we just need to pray for consolidation and sustenance of these policies.
May God continue to uplift Anambra state above her peers.
