Hello my good people, the Lord has done it again! My approval mail dropped yesterday 4th November, 2015 at about 3 pm.
Having being a victim of refusal after medical on the 28th of July 2015, I reapplied on the 28th of August 2015 and did my biometrics on the 31st of August 2015.

Thank you all for your contributions towards the success of my application! @thesoj, @TheBae, @berexio1, I sincerely appreciate all your responses to my questions. God bless you all!

I shall give a list of all the documents submitted as well as how I was able to tackle the reasons ticked for the refusal of my first application:
Purpose of visit;
Personal asset and financial status
.

Congratulations!
to God be the glory.
pls post how you were able to tackle the reasons for your delay: purpose of visit and personal asset and financial status.

I got admission in UWinnpeg which i have also applied for visa hoping i succeed in getting visa. Im looking for someone already in winnipeg that can assist me in getting a cheap accommodation. I don't mind sharing accommodation with someone. I will also want to know some food stuff that im allowed to carry along
Congrats on your admission. Why don't you send a pm to Team 12? 'Cos I am in UofM, not University of Winnipeg.

Get the visa first (by God's grace good news) and we can start talking about foodstuffs. You are really in a hurry to leave naija. grin

Yes you can use a genuine agent for both.
I believe you would need to pay the school fees before a fixed date that differs with each school.
Within 8 weeks, it could be more, it could be less.
Yes you can get a visa with conditional admission provided you'd be able to meet those conditions.
N/B: I Stand corrected.

Thanks Manny.
Are we expected to pay the school fees before applying for visa? The agent is trying to send my sister to University of Manitoba but we want her to go to prince Edward University. My sister didn't do well in the English test. Will this affect her? The school will give her conditional admission to study English first i think before starting her major.

Thanks for answering my questions

Hello house,
Thanks to everyone who responded to me ystdy, I have seen d reason for the denial now, it was based on financial ground and no evidence of me coming back to Nigeria despite that I stated that my kids and my husband are not accompanying me. Pls does anybody know from experience how much we must have in our account before applying. I only presented 2.2 million in my naira account with the receipt of school fees payment.

Hello guyz, I need your help.

I applied for a diploma program which will start in January 2016
My Study permit application was submitted online on the 12 Sep 2015
I received a letter to go do medicals on Oct 19
I did the medicals on Oct 22
Online profile updated to Medicals Passed on Oct 29
Today I received a letter that my application was refused with the following reasons:
*travel history
*family ties in Canada and in country of residence
*purpose of visit

All these while, I thought my application was being processed in Nigeria but the refusal letter was signed in Accra Ghana. My brother is my sponsor and he's a Canadian citizen. He wants to call the embassy first before he appeals the case. Does anybody know what number to call? Or can I reapply immediately? Please I need your advice
were u requested to submit ur passport after medical passed before this??

Take it cool bro. Is your sister going for undergraduate or postgraduate program? You don't need to pay for school fees before you apply for visa unless school specify it in the admission letter. Although some schools asked for deposit payment but not all the schools. Is the school asking your sister to do English Test coz most us got admitted without writing English test. Also I will advise your sister to apply to more than one school. Two or three schools should do coz most schools in Canada are competitive. I pmd you. Cheers.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by manny14: 11:23pm On Nov 07, 2015
If the school states that you must pay the fees so they know you are really interested, then you must pay before you apply for visa. Sometimes or usually its a part payment.
I don't think students from Nigeria require an English test well except the course or school specifically asked for that as a requirement.
What does she intend to study?

Depends on your intended course of study or school.
Usually students from Nigeria don't need it.

Hello guys, I am new on this platform, my case is similar with this other guy, I submitted online for a study visa against Jan 2016 on sept, I already did my medical, which was updated as passed, only for me to be refused visa yesterday, none of the reasons was ticked, the letter was not signed, can anyone put me through the "appeal". And what is the guarantee for the visa

I guess you are using your iPad to view the refusal letter from cic. Use a lap top or desktop computer to view the letter.

Hi guys..I'm 33years old..have just a high school diploma obtained in 2000, ,been working in the broadcast television industry for 7years now...But i wanna apply for a 2year diploma program in either Mechanical Engineering Technology,,Welding Technology OR Resource drilling/ Blasting techniques at a college in New Brunswick AND Ontario Canada respectively starting Sept 2016 and by then i would be 34....still deciding which to apply to,, considering the cost implication..Resource drilling is in Ontario, and cost 6k plus per semester...while the other is in New Brunswick and cost 3,150k per semester..

It has always been my desire to go back to school, and considering my age, i cant go do a 4 or 5year course anymore cause of the length, thats why i am opting for something hands-on, technical and short..And another reason is that i intend going to work in the middle-east oil industry after i complete my program, in other words, i'm changing careers..My source of funding would be partly from me, and my Dad would help me with the bank statements and all relevant documents, but i am saving towards offsetting a semester tuition fees atleast...

My major concern is i dont know if my age, present level of education(SSCE)and the long gap in between is gonna affect my chances of being granted the TRV.....? Its really giving me headache....all i want is the quality that comes with a Canadian post-secondary qualification and the doors it will open for me internationally..

Please i know most folks in these forums always inquire about post graduate courses,, but after spending about 6hours going thru all the post, i felt compelled to register and also put forward my case, hopefully someone out there would relate with my situation and give me some words of advice......looking forward to hearing everyone
