Fadman4real Firstly, this post has nothing to do with atheism as the title of your post goes. Science is advancing and you are serious beneficiary of such advancement. How can you possibly attempt to sell an invisible commodity by cooking up all sort of defenses so that it will look believable. Scientific advancement in robotics, genetics, Synthetic genomics have nothing in common with bronze age substitution. I thought the difference between men and animals is that we ask questions while animals just accept the truth. By the way when you die would you be buried with your wealth, everything you worked for is gone you would leave it here. Then how would it be when you die and find out that the bible is the truth and everything written in it is true how sad would that be at the end of the day. And, since James specifies that he is speaking of “pure and faultless” religion, there must exist an “unclean and imperfect” type of religion as well—a religion not based on love for God. There are many roads that leads to destruction and perdition but there is only one road that leads to Life and that is Jesus Christ. Other religions try to impose things on you, rithes you must do but christianity is much more than that. We have sinfully wandered away from God (Isaiah 53:6), and we need a Guide to lead us back. Jesus is that Way (John 14:6), the One to seek the lost (Luke 19:10). Jesus claims not to be one of many ways, but the one-and-only Way to God. That was the reason why Jesus Christ said that we should go and carry the message of salvation to all nations and people so that they may come to God. Lol. The bible is NOT consistent. There are lot of different versions of the bible and more than 2,000, at least, versions of Christianity. This is a perfect evidence of confusion sir. The bible stories were re-written by unknown authors and a lot of books were removed from the bible to give you the one you read today, minus the different variations. You really need to read more about your religion. That is the reason why you would never see any image of Moses among the Jews. There are two primary reasons for the different English Bible versions. Then you would search for this message but you would not find it. As for the story of his existence I would use historical terms and not biblical terms to explain this, possibly I plan to do more research and create a thread on it. Perhaps the greatest evidence that Jesus did exist is the fact that literally thousands of Christians in the first century A.D., including the twelve apostles, were willing to give their lives as martyrs for Jesus Christ. People will die for what they believe to be true, but no one will die for what they know to be a lie. Product of wishful thinking. You can't bear the fact that when you die, that's it. I'd advice you create something to represent you after your death. Steve Jobs is still remembered today even in death. What will you be remembered for? I believe this is a more profound question than where am I going to when I'm dead.How does that help Steve Jobs, that i remember him for his Iphone, etc. Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying Steve Jobs is not a great man, I am a computer scientist, he is one of my heroes. How do you know that when you die that is it? Do you have any proof to your claim? Since the beginning of time men have been trying to understand what happens when they die and that is actually the strongest point of christianity to other religions. Jesus Christ would have either been the true son of God or a failure to have said he was going to die and rise up on the third day. If he didnt rise up his disciples would have scattered as many others who have been saying they would die and rise, you can check the net for more details. The only way christianity would have been able to maintain his position and drive forward is for Him to have risen which the disciples witnessed and were able to share the truth with other people and today the truth is been shared with you. Laws were created by men not god. Do you have any picture of god giving any laws? Was god involved with making gay marriage legal in the countries that legalized it?You didnt understand my point there I talked of the laws of nature that scientists discovered or do you think they invented those laws or those laws just came to be by physics just as your point on biology. So then how do you know it is working or you are not been remotely controlled from somewhere or it is your hand that is doing the thinking for you? Our conscience is the spirit of God in us and it helps us to learn about the things that are right and what God wants us to do. We have the freewill to choose to accept it or not. Why would God be involved with legalizing gay marriage when he created us male and female, if everyone was gay before the advancement of science then humanity would not exist. I do not want to digress this discussion further. Everyone is born an atheist until someone starts lying to them. Even YOU. If you were born in the Iran or Iraq you most likely would have been a muslim. Your religious beliefs are only as a result of the society you found yourself in or a repetition of your parents belief.So how come there are 4000 religions that you have been talking about. When I came to this world I asked a lot of questions from my parents like how did were we created, etc. My dad's response was evolution, my mum was about a creator, I came to know Jesus when my inquisitive mind as a child made me to read the bible and I fell instantly in love with Jesus and made him my friend, since then I have not been a good friend to him yet He has still loved me and helped me to come back to him. You should try it, ask Jesus to come into your life and become your friend and witness the hand of God in your life, but if you like keep saying that he is imaginary etc just as your future plans until they come to pass. The day you find out that he is not imaginary and he is real, I hope it would not be too late for you. You are very right it is a fictious story but you do not understand the story, the robots where created with inbuilt knowledge about their God, their forefathers before them had visions of their creators and gave them books to understand, their crime was simple they failed to believe it and rather invent a lie to hold unto. The energy particle they were meant to create to help them sustain their world was not created so their creators could not help them and when they discovered by probably the creators finally showing themselves. It was too little to late for them. They therefore destroyed themselves. God is asking you to just believe in Jesus Christ to save you from your sins and that is all, yet you consider that too dificult for you to do. Everyday you eat, take your bathe, etc. to take care of your body and to live for another day so how come believing in God and having eternal life is so difficult for you to do. It is not God that sends unbelievers to hell but it is unbelievers themselves, you have the truth with you but you refuse to believe it as you would rather believe a lie. No matter how you paint a lie, it would remain a lie, you cant save yourself dear, only Jesus can save you. |

By the way, why are christians always giving different and conflicting stories about this heaven and tge after life of theirs? Some will tell you they died and God showed them people burning in fire, while others will tell you that they died and God showed them people that were separated from him living in a dark place, not a fiery place. The description of the so called heaven varies greatly , some claim people are allowed to marry their earthly spouses, others say its not allowed, some claim they even saw the bible there in heaven. The question is which bible did they see? Is it the Catholic bible with its 72 books , the protestant bible with its 66 books, the Greek orthodox bible or the Ethiopian bible with its 68 books. There are a million and one Christian books that are inspired by the holy spirit look for some and read it with an inquisitive mind, I pray it leads you to the truth and the bible contains the word of God and it us the most inspired book in the world. It is one of the oldest and yet most popular books. The bible says that God does not reveal himself to proud and stubborn hearts but rather to humble hearts. Jesus Christ was born of a lowly background yet 2000 years after his name is greater than any other name in the world whether you like it or not. I don't know the bible that is in heaven but I know the words of Jesus in my bible are the truth and life. The bible in heaven would contain the words of Jesus which I live by and those are the words every one of us would be judged with. |

We have the good, the bad and the ugly among us and religion doesn't make all of us different except we choose to. You cant start reading the last chapter of a book and expect to learn everything about it. |
