A government that would never sit down to plan but run around chasing perceived ends up like this..I hope the rerun in rivers state which is apcs primary aim should fix the refineries...useless people... angry
Collect Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa states - oil producing states, that's Buhari's preoccupation in presiding over Nigeria. Oil money, oil money oil money, nothing else. Dem take crude oil in the Nigerdelta do Ogbanje for the Buhari people.

Ordinary $500m. Collect $1b from the acclaimed looted funds of billions of dollars and fix the refineries.

Talk is cheap. APC claimed that Nigeria billions was stolen every day. Now they are in power, they can't raise just 500m.

I thought the thieves are all gone and we should have more enough now for repairs.

Lies everywhere since the very day APC started their campaign.

Privatisation is the sure way out.
The last administration attempted it, they kicked against it
Let's see the magic they will want to perform without privatising the downstream of the oil sector

I read about these refinery stories and I laugh. Long story short, these our refineries are never going to work. Not while the political godfathers still have personal refineries in other African countries where they buy our crude oil from us, refine them and sell back to us. They should stop fooling themselves.

A bi? All we need is an honest government. If there's a problem, they should let us know. And I'm glad that is what the NNPC Boss has been telling us. Let face it, what would have happened if that fisherman party has gone back in? lipsrsealed
aswear! We were with a man who ran gov't and made it enshrouded is secrecy. That fisherman was a curse on nigeria. I want everything in the open; when we are broke , tell us we are broke; when we have enough, tell us we have enough.

I thought APC said our refineries were working. Everytin APC boasted to have fixed body language on Buhari's Assumption in office is gradually fading and people are beginning to see through their lies and propaganda. From Power, to refinery, to economy, to even the fight against corruption, APC e-tout should tell buhari to start working
Bros, Buhari never took the claims of having the refineries fixed. I watched him on NTA sometime ago blatantly deflect any attempt at recording the seeming working refineries to his administration.

Sir, do you mean the must clueless govt in our history?

wen you guys were busy giving credit to Buhari that he has fixed our refinary in just six weeks of taking over power... the refinery just broke down completely from its 60 per cent working capacity, because you failed to give credit to whom you supposed to.
he didn't take credit for them.

This development was predictable and predicted. When PDP and APC e-warriors were claiming credit for the return of refineries to full production a few months ago, I had this to say:

https://www.nairaland.com/2496853/how-jonathan-transformed-refineries-setting/5#36538750
That's a practical person speaking .

That refinery is a waste pipe to task payers money. If possible, let it be sold to foreigners to run it efficiently. It is money that government will receive in exchange.

Chai Apc scam, they had claimed all refineries were back few weeks ago, i bow for this government
This is not APC scam. Nigeria is a very dumb country with the most un educated people on earth. That is why you can say something without thinking about it.
The problem is competence of engineers running the refineries. If I were Buhari I will sack 75% of refinery staff and get Indian management and engineers for the refineries. The Indian companies will be paid on reliability, technical integrity and days run without shutdown.
Nigerians are have become slack, brain dead and incompetent due to the clueless days of PDP rule. Ordinary Jamaicans, Siwrra Leonians, Ethiopians and Sudanese can run refineries why can't we?
