Ordinary $500m. Collect $1b from the acclaimed looted funds of billions of dollars and fix the refineries. Talk is cheap. APC claimed that Nigeria billions was stolen every day. Now they are in power, they can't raise just 500m. I thought the thieves are all gone and we should have more enough now for repairs. Lies everywhere since the very day APC started their campaign. |

Privatisation is the sure way out. The last administration attempted it, they kicked against it Let's see the magic they will want to perform without privatising the downstream of the oil sector |

I read about these refinery stories and I laugh. Long story short, these our refineries are never going to work. Not while the political godfathers still have personal refineries in other African countries where they buy our crude oil from us, refine them and sell back to us. They should stop fooling themselves. |

erunz:Bros, Buhari never took the claims of having the refineries fixed. I watched him on NTA sometime ago blatantly deflect any attempt at recording the seeming working refineries to his administration. |

IyaIode:This is not APC scam. Nigeria is a very dumb country with the most un educated people on earth. That is why you can say something without thinking about it. The problem is competence of engineers running the refineries. If I were Buhari I will sack 75% of refinery staff and get Indian management and engineers for the refineries. The Indian companies will be paid on reliability, technical integrity and days run without shutdown. Nigerians are have become slack, brain dead and incompetent due to the clueless days of PDP rule. Ordinary Jamaicans, Siwrra Leonians, Ethiopians and Sudanese can run refineries why can't we? |
