As much love as I have for Nigeria, the undiluted truth is that Nigeria is an underdeveloped third world country. Hopefully things will get better. How do you describe a country where an average citizen earns less than $2 a day ?. |

@Op you're wrong on a fact here, check Nigeria's GDP. According to the world bank we are ranked no 22 economy in the world and 1st in Africa. Nigeria has had a growth rate between 5%-7% within the last 5years. Get your facts right. |

Sweetguy25:I disagree with you on pint 1, nigeria is indeed rich, only that the wealth distribution is skewed in favor of a few persons. The fact that the booty no reach you is no basis to label it a poor country, if you come up with creative ideas u will its riches. stop yakking about its problems . |

Black people will always console themselves in their misery. No different from the phrase "I am black and proud". You can't help but wonder what the idio.t is proud of. Is he proud of selling his kind into slavery in the 17th century and remaining slaves for over 200yrs? Is he proud of making a mockery of the most stable, viable and resourcefully blessed continent in the universe, turning it to a cesspit of diease, cruelty, poverty, wickedness, and mental wastage? Is he proud of willfully submitting to imperialism in the 21st Centuary? The more you look at the Africana the more you question there sensibility and existence as a human race. After all, lizards are not crocodiles because they look alike. Blacks might be humanoid but are they actually humans? |

Sweetguy25:You just hit the nail on your legs. That Nigeria would develop and be great: Until we begin to call for a structural and systemic change, Nigeria may not witness any progress in the long-run. |

What is holding Nigeria backward is "fake one Nigeria" by the parasitic part of the country. Split the country into 3 as a confederation, and each part to manage it's resources and you'll see healthy competition. The 3 parts that make up the country will start growing exponentially as a result. Each state have the potential to generate it's own electricity, the capability is there, but, one Nigeria is holding them back. Each state have the potential to run it's own police force, but one Nigeria is holding them back. e.t.c. |

sinkhole:Every single time that I land in Los Angeles I feel really sorry for Nigerian government. They are simply spinning their wheels and the task is, to me, insurmountable. I don't think anybody born today will have children that will see a Nigeria that can compare to a UK/USA/Australia of today. |

The biggest lie ever in this country is Nigeria being Nigeria. Nigeria was founded on a lie of oneness of several totally different ethnic groups. |

Nigeria as a country is not developong.. A country where the politicians are ripping the masses of their benefits. A country where to get a good pay job is like dream. A country where even the religious leaders and the church are feeding the masses wif lies. With all the prayers and fasting on nigeria.. Yet to no avail.. A country where economic recession is the order of d day.. I hope our president will do something on time..Is high time we the youth of this generation start looking for ways to make it in dis country. Don't listen to lies.. Use your brain... |

OlujobaSamuel:Apparently, you're one of those delusional fellows. What makes you think Nigeria will be great? It's mind-blogging how you emotional folks think a cesspit like Nigeria will ever experience greatness. The truth is that Nigeria since the 70s has experienced little or no advancement. |

I am not an economist but I like to present things mathematically. Nigeria 2015 fiscal year budget was 4.4 trillion. What this means is 440000000000000000 was used to manage 180000000 people. Here is the simple maths; Divide 440000000000000000 by 180000000 = 2444444444. In summary, #2.4B was used to manage each person in 2015. Daris God ooo! Economist in the house pardon me if my analysis is over simplified. |
