How on earth can a useless underdeveloped country like nigeria be developed than Ghana? Even for the fact that millions of nigerians are trooping to Ghana like refugees should tell you that nigeria is nowhere near Ghana. Let me put some sense into your boko head. nigeria is about 5 times bigger than Ghana in terms of land mass so why won't you have MORE roads, universities, airports, seaports and all the nonsense you made mention of? But ask yourself if your universities are better that Ghana's universities. Its a BIG NO.GHANA UNIVERSITIES ranked far ahead of nigerian universities. Secondly,Are your roads better than Ghana roads? ITS,A BIG NO!!! Most part of Ghana are tared with no potholes. Can that be said about nigeria? There's no way you can compare so called nigerian cities to modernized well planned Ghana cities. I need not to even go further. You should be comparing your county with Somalia and the likes not Almighty GHANA because Ghana is not in the league of useless countries like nigeria Rossikk: |

And apart from lagos is there any recognized city in nigeria? Its only in nigeria where overpopulated towns and villages are called cities. Shameful beings.Travel outta that zoo for once and your sense of reasoning will never be the sane Rossikk: |

OXYGEN01: Economic illiterate. The few thousand Nigerians in Ghana are there as business people exploiting your tepid economy. Not ''refugeees''. nigeria is about 5 times bigger than Ghana in terms of land mass so why won't you have MORE roads, universities, airports, seaports and all the nonsense you made mention of?But Mali has a greater land mass than Nigeria, but lack Nigeria's level of development. So it's not just about 'land mass'. And those things are not ''nonsense'' except to a bush peabrain like you. But ask yourself if your universities are better that Ghana's universities. Its a BIG NO.GHANA UNIVERSITIES ranked far ahead of nigerian universities. Shut up and stop lying. Ghana has 2 universities in Africa's Top 100 universities list, and only one - the University of Ghana - is ranked above Nigerian universities. Nigeria has 9 universities on the list all ranked above the rest of Ghana's universities: http://www.webometrics.info/en/Ranking_africa Also, you have only 3 or 4 universities worthy of the title ''university''. Nigeria has 200+. That alone shows we are more advanced than your small country. Secondly, Are your roads better than Ghana roads? ITS,A BIG NO!!!Better how? We have more roads than Ghana (by an absolute mile) so of course we have more tarred roads and more well asphalted roads than you. Most part of Ghana are tared with no potholes. You can lie to yourself but you can't lie to God. There's no way you can compare so called nigerian cities to modernized well planned Ghana cities.Spare me the bullcrap. What cities exist in Ghana apart from Accra? Kumasi hardly rates as a ''city''. More like a town. The rest are little backwater townships. 1 Like |

VonBismark: Nigerians are NOT ''trooping en masse'' to go anywhere. Stop exaggerating. How many universities are there in Ghana for us to ''troop'' to? 1? 2? We have a huge population who love education, so our universities are inadequate in number to cater for all of them at present. So naturally, Nigerians will go to countries where there is spare capacity, like Ghana. Nothing wrong in that. Millions of Chinese and Indians travel overseas to study. Doesn't mean their countries aren't developing. 2 Likes |

VonBismark: Here's a list of Top 100 African universities. Ghana has 2 universities on the list. Nigeria has 9. Just ONE Ghanaian uni is ranked above Nigerian unis. But Nigeria has the far greater number of unis than Ghana in the Top 100. http://www.webometrics.info/en/Ranking_africa |

Sweetguy25:That Nigeria was once a great country I think right up after independence ,Nigeria was doing great. The currency was at par with the British pounds, A brand new car was sold between #4000 and we could produce our own steel and agricultural products . Peugeot was assembling here as well as many foreign manufacturing brands. Nigeria was so powerful she actually nationalised several British firms and companies including Barkleys bank in the fight for apartheid south Africa . By 1976, only the white controlled apartheid south Africa was more influential and powerful than Nigeria. Oh.....and China just found its greatness some decades ago, that country has always been very poor and under developed That Nigeria is a rich country Nigeria is a middle income country. Even at $3000 GDP per Capita. You cannot tell us that the 23rd largest economy of the world is a low income country http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/datablog/2014/apr/07/nigeria-becomes-africa-largest-economy-get-data That Nigeria is more Developed than most countries in africa Nigeria is actually ranked 3rd in technological development in the 53 countries of Africa. So yes we're more developed than most countries in Africa http://answersafrica.com/top-10-most-technologically-advanced-countries-in-africa.html/2 That Nigeria will develop and be great again Well many international economist have indicated that Nigeria will be amongst the top 10 economies of the world by 2030. Pushing out great Britain and France off the mark. By the ISS report , Nigeria will be the only African country with a super power status globally . http://www.pwc.com/ng/en/press-room/the-world-by-2050.html http://mg.co.za/article/2015-04-02-nigeria-will-be-africas-first-global-superpower Majority of the sources I have cited are from foreign origin including South Africa. Your desire for melodrama went beyond your ability to generate facts. 3 Likes 1 Share |

A country where majority of its people have lost the true value and meaning of being a human being, even if it was great once upon a time, can never be again. How many people 45 years and under, in this country can mention at least 5 good things about the country? The other day, a young man was reprimanded for complaining about the incessant power outage, by an older man, who said "what else is new adapt to it". The only people who seem to be benefitting from Nigeria are the politicians, top brass in the military, oil bloc allottees, the bank MDs, the religious leaders and maybe a few musicians. If you're not in this category, you need to critically evaluate if your children will have a better life or worse than what you experienced. If no, find your way out of that country - the responsibility of every preceding generation is to lay the foundations for a better life for the next generation. This unfortunately is not what Nigerian leaders are about... 1 Like |
