agaugust:1. The war will be fought on land at not at sea - what major sea actions were there in the last 3 wars (which Egypt lost) 2. Rafael a sh1t, F35 coming soon and F15E Strike Eagle beat the Rafael for Singaporean trials for a new fighter. Isreal operates the F15E Strike Eagle 3. You think the M1A2SEP compares to the latest Merkava IV? And then again, Isrealy training is superior - as is demonstrated in the last 3 wars when they defeated the Egyptians despite having INFERIOR equipment. Now their equipment is on the same level, or better. And - killer blow - ISREAL HAS NUCLEAR WEAPONS |

agaugust:Nigeria has never fought a war against a well armed modern fighting force. Liberia/Sierra Leone were not Nigerian victories Niger Delta war = ONGOING Boko Haram war = ONGOING |

agaugust:Just like almost the entire airforce of egypt is imported Or do egyptians build F16, Rafael or Mig-35? Do some research Egypt < Isreal |

agaugust:Yes bros, they are my own opinion. With what is on ground Egypt will face any country in middle east but no one knows what the outcome will be. They have the best of equipment in the region. Their air force and Navy surpass any country in the middle east in terms of equipment but the question is can this Egypt do major fixes on equipment they did not produce? We all know what can happen at war, different kinds of unexpected issue and the ability of your engineers to fix things up quickly is very important. Egypt use equipments from different nations with different technology and there is just no way they will understand everything. Lets look at the airforce for example; they have F-16, Mirage 2000, Mirage V, Rafael, mig35, j-7, mig 21, AH-64, Ka-52, Chinook, mi17, gazelle, commando, seaking and many other aircraft. Samething if you look at the long list of SAM, AAM, air to ground missile. They buy things as if they are confused and this makes me feel they don't even know what they want. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by iblawi(m): 5:09pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
I believe any nation wit more than four different fighters jets and don't produce any of them is confused. |

agaugust:I would love see where you got all those figures from and by the way Egypt has no ballistic missile capability beyond 700km. There missile systems are mostly limited including the lack of technical expertise to maintain there current systems, but over all there current state of there military makes them a very formidable foe for any world power. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 8:35pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
iblawi:Technically, Boko Haram war is over, their key leaders dead, all their territory lost, all their main camps and strongholds burnt to ashes, they have lost every encounter/battle engagement versus Nigerian troops for the past one year consistently losing and fleeing like dogs before a lion. What you have now is Nigerian military mopping up what is called 'The resistance' as you have them in some wars. Germany won the war against France in 1941, but the French resistance forces kept fighting Germany till 1944, yet Germany controls 100% of France. Nigeria controls 100% of Nigeria, we have won the war against Boko Haram, all we see is the weak and decreasing resistance as in France. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 8:42pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
snydergp1st:A list of Egyptian weapons list is published on SIPRI database for free reading. Distance between Egypt and Israel is less than 1km by road....700 km ballistic missile is more than enough against Israel. |

agaugust:The Patriot systems in Egypt are not the upgraded versions. Damn the current Patriot SAMs are not even up to standard against modern missile systems that's why countries like Netherlands are opting to upgrade there systems while Lockheed and MBDA is marketing there joint MEADS SAM system that's still in its development stage for Germany and France. The US are relying more on its EAGIS to defend its allies not patriots. There are reports of Sunburn anti ship missiles deployed one of Egypt's naval ship but the R-300 Elbrus still remains the only medium range missile system including the Chinese HY-2 anti ship missile. Egypt cannot win a prolonged war without any outside supply of weapons systems unlike Israel who actually produces over 65% of its current systems locally. Manpower currently gives Egypt an edge but when it comes to overall capabilities Israel are still miles ahead "with the support from he's big brother US" obviously. |

lezz:I think you should read this. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/144168-nigeria-ranked-amongst-worlds-poorest-competitive-countries.html So there is actually more poor people in Nigeria then in any other African state. I've been to many african countries including a two day visit to Nigeria, and I must commend your country for its developmental efforts but in reality Nigeria still faces more social economic problems then SA despite its larger GDP and dropping current growth rate. |

snydergp1st:Egypt has Patriot anti-missile defences, you are not in a position to judge if they are upgraded or if they are effective, only real life combat will tell what weapons work well or not. Egypt has the biggest defense industry in Africa and second biggest in middle east after Israel. Egypt builds its own Abram tanks locally and has missile technology to produce all types of missiles locally. USA will not support Israel in war against Egypt, the USA is funding both countries military with cash aid. It USA makes that mistake, Egypt will return to Russia for help and the war will never end. Egypt and Israel are major powers, only God can predict who wil win a war between two giants. |

Patchesagain:Rafale beats F-15. F-35 is a less capable air superiority jet than Rafale, F-35 is optimized for air to ground attack while Rafale is optimized for air to air combat. IRST defeats stealth. We talking conventional war not nuclear. You think nations use nuclear weapons any how? Why did Britain not threaten Argentina with nuclear weapons? Only a fool like you will use nuclear weapons against a next door neighbor, the nuclear fallout blows with the wind and radiation spreads across borders. |

Msauza:Listen up, S.A is in functional decay and the sad tHong is that it is now a new "normal" in the country. If you can't see the smoke, I won't be suprised; two decades in the sun is not enough to be accustomed to the harsh rays of the sun. Right now, the private firms and companies own and manage by whites are no more eager to work. Not with a few Zulus enriching and stealing from their sweat and hard work in a mediocre scheme called BEE. All your whites are leaving and going off abroad. I read your SANDF is sending SOS for white recruitment. Zulus can't change the status quo and expect the structure and output to remain the same. The fall of apartheid was originally suppose to boost yor economy, not shrink it. It was suppose to strengthen your military not produce mediocre . It was suppose to generate wealth not xenophobia and hunger. The rainbow era ended ten years ago, but you Zulus and Co will still go on singing that dead song. South Africa is in functional decay. From having 3 patients in 1 bed, to operating with cellphone light. To the inability to execute the new power plant for electricity generation To Zuma using your airforce budget to buy his airplane. The list is long, boy. |

We all can post whatever we feel degrades the opposition. Like this one here about your GDP and the fact that [b]No Nigerian city has potable water for up to 30% of its inhabitants. http://ynaija.com/opinion-nigerias-gdp-rebasing-and-voodoo-statistics/ Anyway I'm not here soothe your country bashing session. |

lezz:Check the beds per patient ratio before you talk. Last time I checked Nigeria can't even perform basic kidney transplants domestically. Tell me why has all your leaders died in European medical facilities. Why don't your leaders and elite trust your so called best doctors. You have the highest death rate in africa and the world currently WHY? is this your measurement of the giants of africa. Answer why are more people dying in your limited health facilities more than any other african state. http://leadership.ng/news/428563/world-malaria-day-nigeria-ranks-highest-in-death-rate-us Infant mortality rate is a primary measurement of a country's health care systems why is yours the worst in sub sahara and the world. I'm done with you I didn't come back here for d..ick measurements. |

snydergp1st:In Johannesburg, doctors carry candle lights and cellphone light to carry out a major operation. 3 patients are sandwiched in a single bed in government hospitals. South Africa has the bighest world's TB unresolved case in the world and the highest number of HIV and Aids prevelance http://www.news24.com/elections/news/sa-institutions-rot-in-post-apartheid-world-20140424 You have nothing to beat your chest about. Infant mortality rate 2015 has shown so much damn improvement. It is a staggering 15% reduction http://healthnewsng.com/nigeria-records-reduction-in-infant-and-maternal-mortality-rates/ While Nigeria with a population of 180 million has 58 deaths in 1,000http://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2015/08/mdgs-nigeria-beats-hiv-maternal-mortality-deadline/ South Africa with a population of 50 million has 47 deaths in every 1,000. If AIDS aren't killing them, Zulus would be raping them in their cradle. https://pmg.org.za/committee-meeting/15489/ Seems Nigeria is doing better than you . And the countries with the highest mortality rate are1 Angola 180.21 2 Sierra Leone 154.43 3 Afghanistan 151.95 4 Liberia 138.24 5 Niger 116.66 South Africans and petty lies. Your egos are so easily deflated. Meanwhile countries with the lowest child mortality rate are Japan, Bermuda, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sweden. I really didn't see giants there like U.S; Germany, Grant Britain ,China etc. Stupid muppet. |

snydergp1st:Shut up, you were claiming to travel round African countries in your little bush hut in zulu natal. South Africa is the one with water problems with Lesotho and Denmark bailing you out. There's has been water riots that left scores of people dead in south Africa. Your schools have no water for toilet flushing hence they improvised with pit latrines and ended up drowning your children inside the pit toilet. What a shame.
