Thanks Kubbiebrownie,

Thanks for the direction. Had no idea at all. I have done it now and it indicated that the scores would reach the destination on a day or two.

Just to mention to everyone, I think the PTE Academic is not bad at all. Anyone intending to write an English test should go for it , though quite pressured, you need to concentrate fully for the 3hrs you have to complete it. But its quite rewarding in the end.

Cheers

yes. U will tell them to process form A for you. Apart from admission letter u will need.

1. International passport
2. Details of school account
3. If it master, they may ask of previous undergraduate certificate of transcript

Naira account is adequate , there is no need for dom. Acct.

the rate varies depending on the CBNRATE for the day. Usually less than #200/$

Go with your COE, Data page international passport, DOB etc & request for FORM A at cash transfer unit, don't go to customer care because some maybe unaware of such transaction.
CBN exchange rate is around 141 to 142 Naira to 1AUD as at today but between 150 to 155 at parallel market & banks, just budget 155 to be on a safer side.

@jayooh, to be honest ,my practice wasnt really organized, am usually busy at work and I try to go through some materials I found online in the evenings. In actual fact I had just four days to practice and I did that for just one evening.
In all I would advice you spend more time practicing and be relaxed on test day.
Just get on the PTE website , every info u need to register and centres are there for u.
Cheers.

Another think about this exam is that it is totally computer based so bias is reduced in a way. Question I will want to ask is about candidate accent especially in speaking area. Or does computer understand every accent? Imaging Aussie pronounces Bus as bass and Milo as mailo ! Thanks
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by debsty(m): 10:17pm On Nov 11, 2015
I sincerely think the computer struggles with some accents. I say that cos in my own case, I was convinced I was fluent all through, of course with little hiccups here and there but I was about OK in the whole speaking section and I still had 76, which is less than I expected. Under the enabling skills it scored me quite low in pronunciation and I was like....what exactly did I not pronounce properly.
That being said, I am aware they have hundreds of English accents stored on the computer ,such that it pick whichever comes thru. I think the important things is not to go there and form one kind of accent you are not used to, just be yourself and speak clearly.

Cheers

Rusher14,

Hmmm! I don't want to assume you are asking a question in which you already knew the answer. However, for me, I think the thread is a bit of everything you wanna know about Australia.
Should you have specific questions, why not just throw it onboard and I'm sure the gurus in the house will be ready to provide answers or perspectives at their leisure. Or just simply read through the past threads and decide.

Cheers.
