NOI made us think our economy is like barcelona when in actual sense it's like Chelsea all in a bid to give the impression that we are doing fine while carting away our money. Only a fool tries the same thing everytime and expects different result. Let us give this woman a chance oun no o ni fe te.

Frankly speaking, I don't think this government has anything to offer economy wise. It is instinctively anti-market and does nopt take any cues from market signals.

The foreign exchange controls are already having devastating effects on the manufacturing and commercial sectors. This has led to a motre than 10% disparity between the official and parallel market. It should never be more than 3% or you encourage round tripping as its happening now.

Banning 40 products from the forex market was an extremely amateurish attempt to preserve foreign exchange.

The best way of managing forex is by liberalizing and deregulating the forex market.

If the demand for imports is quite strong, your currency loses value and makes imports more expensive and less affordable.

As your currency weakens,it makes your exports more competitive encouraging exporters to sell more and earn foreign exchange. It counterbalances

Buhari won't last more than a term. These businessmen are not smiling. In 2019, they will come to settle scores.

And what did the so-called "experience" okonjo achieve as the finance minister under Jonathan? Aside from destroying our economy and lying to gullible Nigerians that they are the biggest economy in Africa, what has madam NOI achieve or what positive thing has she impacted on our already damaged economy?

Kemi will be 1000 times better than that madam NOI who joined forces with diezani/Jonathan to steal our $20billion....

I was just telling someone about this Kemi Adeosun, she is inexperience and her screening was a disappointment to knowledgeable economic guy. I mean Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa with a 568.51 billion US dollars GDP.

I am apolitical. I don't care about GEJ. If you read my comments , you would realize they were constructive. Buhari is a honest man but his poor understanding of economics is his greatest weakness. I write about different countries.

Was the one tipped? Where did you get that from? Comprehension is really hard!!

To help you, here is the Forbes statement

Okechukwu Enelamah, head of the private equity company African Capital Alliance who had also been tipped to become finance minister, has been sworn in as minister of trade and investment.

In terms of pedigree, Okechukwu Enelamah is the most suited for Trade & Investment in that list.

Let's be frank. This woman is inexperienced and Ogun State is NOT doing well financially under her watch, so what was the rationale behind nominating her as Minister of the Nigeria Economy.

I didnt expect magic or miracle, cos I knew what to expect from a First Grade Illiterate Mallam.

This just about summarised the article.

The duara dullard is aka Baba Go-Slow.

He's slowness in thinking, and acting exacerbate the situation, now he has to do catch up.

However one thing the Forbes article failed to mention is the much touted talk of diversifying the economy. One would have thought that attention and effort would be given to the agricultural ministry in the form of an energetic and dynamic minister like the last occupant of that very strategic ministry. But what do we have? A 68 old career politician - Audu Ogbeh! undecided

Ah, I remember you. One of those "GEJ until 2019" wailers. I would have loved to enquire how you're handling defeat, but the sheer bitterness in your post is enough to give me an answer.

Obviously like most Nigerians, you're lost on the motive behind the currency restrictions.

In fact I too was until I read this article and it made some sense which is the only meaningful thing about the post.

As said in the article, the restrictions were to safeguard the economy fro further dwindling. It was to reduce what Nigerians spend our reserve on. To curb the spending pending the time they get their economic team online and working.

It is obvious Nigeria is not earning much from crude sales again which is not the fault of the present administration. So it is only logical that our expenses be controlled too.

I have never for once doubted the Ability of this government even if I didn't understood the motive behind currency restriction then.
