PDP exposed this attempt to defraud nigeria.
As alarm blow, what do you expect his to say since he has to cover tracks? if he meant business he would have ordered the arrest and prosecution of the culprits.

What are you saying? Is it not PDP administration that signed the contract to use Remita?

Have you not read this part:
“The issue was brought to the attention of the president (Muhammadu Buhari) and he asked that the money be returned immediately which is what has happened.

“Going forward, it is our intention to review the contract on the software, because the CBN has its own software for e-Payments and e-Collections,” a CBN official, who did not want to be named, said.

That doesn't change the fact you guys saw Sanusi as a saint just like Amaechi and co.
It is best you guys tell yourselves the truth; Buhari is making the same mistakes that GEJ did by surrounding himself with criminals; and for your information, Buhari only knew about this because someone brought it to his notice; the same people can actually do the opposite and he won't have a single clue of what transpired.
oga nobody called them saint, its abt leadership which u underestimate the power.
Someone brought it to his notice becos he has put people there that he can trust, it may even be that northerner which u people distaste. He isnt expert at all field, thats why he took his time to lay this foundation, and we knw its cos of rush frm u people he would have wanted more time.
Ths is the fruit of those sacks and fire. Today nobody wants to be the one to emanate stain of corruption frm the govt.
Everybody want to shift ths murky waters frm its ministries. Wether u like it or not pmb would grind anybody that brings stain to him frm inside.

Remita (SystemSpec) have done any wrong. It was a contractual agreement with the former CBN governor and management of CBN to give 1% of every transactions. I believe that PMB do not have the understanding. He needs to be educated. The worse that can happen is to re-negotiate the terms of agreement not by refunding the money. SystemSPec have the right to sue the federal government.

Typical PDP reasoning, we are talking the terms of the contract the PDP administration signed not PMB being aware of CBN software; guy man its too Early ooo

Talk of 2nd Niger bridge, we all know PDP administration signed the contract, do we know the terms of the contract? Is it not until there is default/abuse that we would get to know?

Would you also say 2nd Niger bridge was a campaign promise by PMB?

PMB would surely get to 2nd Niger bridge on his way to Biafra Abia State. grin

Which one is fraud again? There was an agreement and system specs took their rightful cut that was agreed. They did not hide to steal it, the process was transparent and they even reversed it when asked.

One has to be careful when entering into agreement with this government ooo, any small thing don become corruption and fraud, even legal agreements that were approved.

So all they are telling us is that, CBN as the central bank of Nigeria the giant africa, has no it own software to transfer those money in it account. Is very unfortunate that upon all the body language that this new government is out to fight corruption, we are still experiencing more of it.

This is why I believe in this man so much. His subjects carry out his official orders to a T!

Gone are the days of impunity. Gone are the days when a president asks a Minister to return money collected from unemployed/undermployed youths for a botched recruitment exercise which resulted in the deaths of many of them, and the said minister ignores the order as though it was some permanent secretary that gave it.

Sai Baba.

last week 413billion naira was release to marketers for subsidy claims, this week fuel price instead of returning to nomalcy has skyrocket.
if that isnt IMPUNITY CONTINUA, Then it shud be UNCOMMON IMPUNITY!

Good to know. Let us be patient for some time. Now that we have ministers, our nation will definitely make a big leap under the leadership of president Buhari.
We know that majority of our big business are rent collectors without much productive activities.
Like I said before, we are in corrections mode.
We will soon see the goodness of Nigeria.

This is interesting!

Remita charged government 1% of transfers and it's a big news.
I thought Dino Melaye and the senate represents the people and not the government?
Nigerians are being charge between 1.5% and 2.5% for the same service and the so called representatives of the people are not looking at that...

It is even a pity that Nigerians are hailing them for probing a single transaction rather than challenge the entire payment system where poor Nigerians are being charged exorbitantly for the same service.

No prise for Dino and the likes until they deal with the issue STRATEGICALLY rather than their TACTICAL Populist approach which does not help the common man except that it puts more money in the coffers for politicians to spend/allocate.

I am looking forward to a Nigeria where comments by the masses will be based on how government actions/inactions affects them rather than which political actor they like.

God save and bless Nigeria.

Tsa was introduced under gej as u claimed with remita put in place to do the transfer but never implemented.

Pmb came and saw tsa was needed he implemented it and wasnt aware of such high deduction agreed by gej in its deal with remita.

Immediately he got the feedback of this sabotage he has ordered them to return the money. And be rest assured their percent would be re negotiated.

I was shocked when i heard ths remita at first, i never knew it was the YAM AND GOAT HANG OVER POLICY.
Dont ever conclude without knowing details.
If it was in gej era it would have been sheilded like odua dieazani

frm everything obvious, the cöntract deal was signed with gej including the percent. I see no reason why a sensible human beign would sign such with anybody whether it was with apc tinubu, fashola, fayemi as owners.
The truth is the truth, and to thnk gej signed it for his opposition showed it was the fear of the election that made him do many insane and silly things like ths and sharing of dollars. He signed a contract with them for years. El rufai or sanusi only TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIS REGULAR STUPIDITY AND CLUELESNESS.
The advise and signing of the contract was done by sanusi, not Jonathan. Remita came into the banking system doing the reign of Sanusi, cast ur stone on him not Jonathan.

How have all these billions saved been translated into a form of welfare for the common folks? All we keep hearing is cash saved, cash recovered? Or is the cash meant to only to be looked at?

On the contrary, the SPIRIT of the TSA is CONSTITUTIONAL, captured in section 80(1) of the 1999 constitution as amended.. Let's just say the idea of a Consolidated federal purse was just tagged TSA with reference to its public accounting system.. Jonathan NEVER started it..Successive governments have continued to
operate multiple accounts for the collection and spending of
government revenue in flagrant disregard to the provision of
the constitution which requires that all government revenues
be remitted into a single account.
It was not until 2012 that government ran a pilot scheme for
a single account using 217 ministries, department and
agencies as a test case. The pilot scheme saved the country
about N500 billion in frivolous spending. The success of the
pilot scheme motivated the government to fully implement
TSA, leading to the directives to banks to implement the
technology platform that will help accommodate all MDA’s
in the TSA scheme . but it still wasn't implemented FULL to the letter.. The recent directives by President
Mohammed Buhari that all government revenues should be
remitted to a Treasury Single Account is in consonance with
this programme and in compliance with the provisions of
the 1999 constitution.

oga leadership is paramount. All files stop at gej desk to sign but he likes anti people move to favour cabal. Sanusi took advantage of his weakness. Pmb that inherited that contract now has sanusi as his supporter but that doesnt stop him frm offending sanusi to favour pro people policy. Pmb has right to continue it cos its a contract that was signed for years with that percent by gej for remita to do the deal and no other. But pmb doesnt do the negative
