No they don't require tuition deposit before sending the acceptance letter. But they give you a date upon which you need to pay $1500 CAD to reserve your seat.
expertman:
Greetings pals, any one going to Conestoga College or already in conestoga? Want to know if they required tuition deposit before sending letter of acceptance for trv ?

Warm greetings all ! For those waiting for their medical result update after it was sent to the CIC, just relax and be positive minded! Do not just conclude your case following the info gotten from this forum; our cases cannot be the same. Now let's view it from the info on the CIC website (at least 4weeks for medical exam assessment and update excludin the 2weeks given for it to be done). This could be more or less. Believe that you serve the God who jumps protocols for your sake. Our case shall be different and we'll testify of God's favour after all IJN,AMEN! Believing is everything!

While there may be Nairalanders at University of Manitoba, bros, as a first class BSc graduate aiming to do Phd-level research in Canada I would recommend that you scrounge the school/department website to learn as much as possible about how to get a graduate research assistantship to fund your PhD studies.

Also this link will help you. Finally, I would strongly recommend that you make close acquaintance with Google.

I thank God Almighty for His mercy and opportunities He has sent to my way!

To the Glory of God my good people, I have just been REFUSED after passing my medicals.

Reasons are;
*Travel history
*insufficient fund to support ur academics in canada without working
*insufficient evidence to show relationship btw u and ur sponsor(i used a cousin in dat aspect)
*purpose of visit
*lenght of proposed stay in canada
*family ties in canada & in country of residence
*employment prospects in country of residence
*personal assets & financial status
*insufficient evidence of available funds provided for ur studies in canada.

My people after all these reasons, I am totally confused cos I dnt knw where to start from as my admission expires May 2016.

Did you do an upfront medical?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by freezingus: 7:42am On Nov 14, 2015
I received a medical call without submitting a police report certificate. I was thinking they will demand for it, but till present they have not done so, rather I got a medical test email. Please advise fellow Nairalanders.

eeyah that's painful. Go check the bank statement you used. The flow of cash in it isn't strong enough. Cic takes a close look on the flow of cash and also the opening balance. Which school did you use? Did u wrote the designated number of the school on ur app? Most applicant forget that part which also leads to their delay.

I am new on nairaland.I did my biometrics on the 9th October, I applied using online route, I did not submit a Police Character Certificate because I never knew if it was needed, I received a medical request email yesterday, please does this mean that my application has been reviewed? What is its implication? I need words from you all, thanks.

List your documents so that we can advise you appropriately. I was scared when I first see the list of refusal but most of them are baseless. How old are you? Do you have lengthy study gap? Get family photographs with ur sponsor or you use a family tree. How credible is ur soa in term of inflow and outflow. Do not relent. You can still make it. For you to receive medical call before refusal means your application is not as bad as you think. There is something Vo saw that made him or her to ask for ur medical result. Cheers. All will be well.

Do you have any criminal record. Have u been to prison before? If your answer is NO. Be rest assured that you are okay. PCC is not compulsory like ur soa. If VO needs it, he or she will request for it. You are on track. Cheer up.
