Good battery life is very very important.

greatwaters:

Yea. Seems these companies are competing fiercely on who would win the hearts of Nigerians. What an average Nigerian wants is a phone that is Affordable, has good battery life, and isnt too mediocre. At least it isnt 512mb ram and 5mp camera isnt bad for that price

Hmm. This phone seems to be hot o.

greatwaters:

I just told someone who ordered gionee m3 mini to cancel the order and wait for this.

*smiles* A performance freak would disagree with you. If you are not overly concerned about running very heavy games and apps, the phone is ok. Worth it, at least from the specs

Instead of buying a Nokia (Windows) phone for 10k as a second phone, I would rather buy this.

I can believe the hype since I witnessed a lenovo laptop lasting for as long as 16hours without charge. Technology is certainly building up and competitive.
In as much as I cannot use a techno product, I still praise their efforts to raise the roofs.
However, techno is certainly not the first phone that can charge other phones.
I have seen some funny looking Chinese unknown phones that have up to 16bars of battery indicators (they looked like the old nokia system of display. Something like 3310 for instance)
Well, for all that it's worth, u still have to give it up for techno

Doesn't look like the device is focused on running heavy apps. However, it looks like the price very well does okay with the specs. Getting an Android lollipop for 12k. These guys just know how to make things overly affordable sometimes.

But technology today is deep. Lol. It's still crazy to imagine a phone serving as a powerbank. Kai

You don't need to insult anyone ok. I haven't heard of this phone that you are talking about.

Never heard of gionee? If you use gionee, you will know that tecno only produces just packaged piece of plastic. My gionee m3 mini I bought #16,500 has a battery capacity of 4000Mah. Android 5.1, has USB OTG, I can watch movies and view documents directly from my phone. I can charge other phones with my phone. It has magnetic sensor or magnetometer, (it can use e-compass and also be used as a metal detector) something that doesn't come with tecno phones (maybe with phantom 5 sha o) try to download compass on those tecno phones and see if it works (it won't) My 5mp camera is at par if not better than any tecno 8mp camera. I can confirm that cos I have used an 8mp tecno phone. It snaps perfectly bright pictures in pitch darkness (no hyping here). Gionee is worldwide, tecno is Africa. go to gsmarena.com and search for tecno and gionee. Gionee has other phones with 5000Mah camera, the new m5 is 6020Mah camera. A smaller budget but equally good phone is gionee m2mini #13,900 Android 5.1 with 3000Mah battery.
Lastly, in terms of ruggedness, gionee pass. my p4 I used for a year plus before I disposed it off and buy this m3mini, received the most battering of any phone I have used.

Don't wanna burst your bubble but a 5000mah battery can only last you about 15 to 16hrs... 3G mode browsing in a day..

And the 3days u saw is like a standby kinda thing on a light usage and not browsing on 3G Like we do here cos EDGE network is f#cked

I tire for them my brother, the way they are over hyping the phone you can easily detect that it's one or two persons with all the monikers. Anyway I don't blame them, man must eat, I dope my hat to Tecno for adopting this market strategy that's where Gionee failed.
