oga it is you that love to play With words, don't think everyone on nairaland lack comprehension skills like you do. The excerpt below didn't use the word return, he used re-joined . They rejoined from where ?. Secondly the the excerpt show that the word missing was used as against your devilish lie that it wasn't used.
huh i'm only going to give you one mention so please make the best use of it. below is the full text of the excerpt that was posted on here:

The Nigeria army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman in a statement late Thursday night said soldiers missing after a Boko Haram attacks in Gudumbali and Kareto in Borno State have rejoined their units.

Earlier on Thursday, media reports said some 105 soldiers went missing in action ‎after they engaged Boko Haram terrorists.

Usman's statement described the incident as a slight setback for the Nigerian troops operating in the Northern Borno State towns of Gudumbali and Kareto, saying, the situation was being stabilized.

He added that "The troops have re-joined their units for further action."‎

He said: "earlier media reports were exaggerated. The CO (Commanding Officer) is currently with his soldiers."‎

1. the men went out on a mission....the re-joined their units upon their return form the mission
2. my mistake, i misread re-join as return but it does not matter because the two words are actually perfect synonyms in this context...but i don't expect you to understand that
3. your second point is just frustrating....so you really couldn't see that the portion of the excerpt where the soldiers were descried as missing (which was merely a qualifier) was part of the narrative written by the journalist and not a direct quote from the said army spokesmanhuh What is wrong with your head?

you are sick, the journalist was quoting the military spokesman when he used the word missing... by the way the soldier never denied that there were no missing soldiers, he only said it was exagerated when a stament is exagerated it just mean it was enlarged beyond the truth, that doesnt mean its not the truth. exageration and lie do not mean same thing. so stop making it look like the media fabricated a lie from nowhere about it, yes it maybe exagerated but that doesnt mean its a lie. the spokesmen even said its a setback for them, if nothing bad had happened he wouldnt have used the word setback.

Even the CDS just confirmed there were missing soldiers

The Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi
Olonishakin, on Friday admitted that a
number of Nigerian soldiers went missing
after a fierce gunfight with Boko Haram
insurgents.
Mr. Olonishakin, a general, said the soldiers
went missing due to some ‘operational issue’
during the battle with the terrorists.
”There were operational issues, but as I speak
with you, the troops have re-joined their
units,” the defence chief said in Jos when
journalists asked him the status of the missing
soldiers.
Mr Olonishakin’s confirmation of the incident
came hours after the army, after three
previous self-contradicting statements, also
admitted the incident happened.

Now you know...simply because it has turned full circle. That is why it is important for power to rotate. So that the barbacue steak can get done evenly. It is APC's turn for a roasting.
Lol... you can say that again grin cheesy
