@irondome, I have mailed WES to request for the tracking number, I hope they oblige, or is there a better alternative? shocked
About the job offer, im I to get a copy of the offer letter plus a copy of LMIA from the company?

Honestly, I don't know sir. May be if you revealed your ALMA MATER, your fellow colleagues may know of other avenues.

Congrats on your LMIA backed offer, that should fetch you a rapid ITA whenever you enter the pool.

As long as you have at least one year of skilled employment, you stand a good chance. However, there are a couple of huddles to be crossed.

1. check your eligibility for the FSWC scheme using the tool provided on CIC website.
2. You would require a good IELTS score (preferably 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 Listening, reading, speaking, writing, however 8,7,7,7 may just suffice)
3. Do your education certificate evaluation. I would suggest you use WES (google WES for more info).
4. Go ahead and create your profile on EE.

If your total score on EE is >450, you stand a good chance of being invited directly without the need to hustle for provincial nomination. If otherwise, then hustling may be required. There are a number of provinces out there that are able to nominate you without job offer.

Go through the site before for further info

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp

I should also chip this in; for a BSc holder, the level of chance you have, greatly depends on -- how good your IELTS score is and how young you are.

Damn. I just received my ielts result. It's not pretty men. L:7.5,S:6.0,R:6.5,W:5.5. This really dropped my crs score to 308. Can i still go into the pool and hope for provincial nomination? Need the candid advice of the house!

Unfortunately you'll need a minimum of 6 in each band in order to qualify for FSWP.

Not trying to knock your hustle Sis, why do I need a training if already have the visa
It's a free orientation program organized by the International Organization for Migration, with funding from Canadian government. It's not compulsory to attend, but it's an informative session that runs the whole day, u can ask whatever question u want to.

Its not a training, it's an immigration orientation session that spans for 8 hours, where all areas regarding your settling down are discussed. It's totally free, you get to meet new immigrants in person, share ideas and get other freebies too.
If you are chanced,I'll implore you to attend.
NB: It's organised by the International Organisation of Migration:Canadian Orientation Agency. Please google them out,and you can choose a date to attend.

You need to rewrite the IELTS. Except if it is for some PNP that accept less than 6 in some instances

For those that have done the medical, how much did it cost per person or per family?

Thank you

pls are you saying I can pay for Wes send them my certificate and they will take it up from there themselves. I I'm waiting on olabisi onabanjo too, nd it's tedious

Note that you must pay WES for your evaluation first ad get your reference number as you will give it to school who will quote it on their response to WES. You should have someone there doing the leg work of going to check and remind those in charge to send the verification response back to WES otherwise, you may wait for long. What i discovered is that the request from WES usually gets to school on time but school sometimes wait for the person to come and pay for the cost of mailing the response back to WES so, i suggest you find someone who can do the leg work for you there. Please don't rely on WES using only your copy of certificate to do the evaluation(tho it appears that's what they use mostly but better play safe), cuz even if they send back the copy of your certificate back to school, the response from school is still the major thing.

Tracking number is not what you need, i'm almost certain WES letter is already in your school it just may be that you are not asking from the right quarters. In my case, i went to registry to ask if they have seen the letter requesting for verification from WES and they said they haven't and was later directed to an office where they handle transcript. They eventually checked their mail movement book only to discover the letter from WES got to them less than two weeks when WES posted it. They eventually finished with the response but didn't post it saying WES does not pay them for postage and apparently, they are not ready to incurr the cost so, they appear to wait for the student to come and pay for the cost of postage and if you don't show up, the thing may continually be there without being sent. So, try and do some leg work.

Reagrding the job you may be offered, tell the person offering you the job that it has to come with LMIA, which is what will make you get a 600points that will ensure you get ITA.

Hello house,

Please I have been having difficulties as regards best matching NOC no for my job duties. I have two different job duties (having change my company and job roles) of which I havent found any NOC close to the two of them. I would be glad if anyone in this house can guide me on better NOC for the job below:

1. Risk Analyst (specifically Operational Risk Management)

2. Treasury Operations Officer (roles here are Treasury Operations in banks)

I know of 4162 that has Risk Management Anaylst, but the problem is that no duties relating to Risk Management Analyst was stated there, my question is if I cant find any other match elsewhere, can I go with that 4162 since it has Risk Management Analyst eventhough the duties were not stated there.

Log into the account you created on WES when you paid, you will see the status of your evaluation there and you can see in there if your transcripts has been received.

You cannot enter the pool if any section in your IELTS is less than 6. Be on the lookout just so if British Council will open fresh dates for December and you can register before January when they have said the exam will be 52k

Guess i've satisfied the curiosity of the cat... grin

Why do you think it is extortion? Is the price different from what is obtainable globally? or is the cost of conducting the examination far less than the charge? I will appreciate if you can let us know why you think they are extorting us. Thank you.

You don't need a job when you get into the pool neither will getting a job give you an advantage in getting PNP. If you get a PNP that is EE related or get a job with an LMIA backing(a job they can't get a Canadian to do), then either of them adds 600points to your EE score and you are then going to surely by God's grace get ITA, I.e, invitation to apply and submit your documents to get your PR Visa

First and foremost, you can only use work experience obtained within the past 10years, so if you are applying next year, only w/e obtained in and after 2006 will be applicable for this process.

Yes, go ahead and evaluate your masters degree, as it will give you more points in your CRS.

Yes again, experience prior to masters degree is applicable. Most people worked after B.sc prior to Msc, so no problem with that.

However, i cant clarify if experience during second degree counts, seniors in the house kindly clarify, i need this information. Thank you
