This is shocking. That state is a mismatch of all sorts from the articles I have been reading online. The Ebiras and Okuns honestly appear to have their political future permanently tethered to the whims of the Igalas.

We have marked divisions in other states too but people are not this hateful and crass. Kwara, Delta, Edo, Ogun and even Lagos state comes to mind. So I honestly don't think state creation is the solution. These other guys just need to rise up and be more vibrant in the political sphere. Politics is a game of numbers and concessions. cc biafra agitators.

It is very unfortunate that our youths instead of attacking and fighting these lots that sees us as conquered people, dissipates their energies raining abuses on one another in the name of tribes. While we fight on social media and rain abuses on one another, these same politicians we fight to protect laughs at our crass stupidity! They leave our public schools to rot while they send their children to choice and best schools abroad. When they return, they are sent to work in private sectors or federal ministries, while you and I write aptitude test for jobs that dont exist. They travel abroad to treat mere headache, so also members of their families while our hospitals are abandoned. They steal our collective fund and go and foolishly deposit it in European banks. The Europeans use it to develop their countries, and we are left to suffer. Some of them even build companies abroad thereby giving foreigners jobs at our own expense. Wake up my fellow youths! Wake up from your slumber lets fight our collective enemies! Stop wasting your time abusing Igbo people, Hausa / Fulani people, Yoruba people, Niger/ Delta. Rise from your sleep! Little hand out the politicians gives you when they come home can only last you for days. never knew it has gotten to this level, People of same State... CHUU sad

I know kogi very well. It is so sad that in the whole of kogi, the only place you have good roads are in in igalaland. Not even in the whole but majority of them.
I have trasvererd kogi state much.
Lokoja to Ajaokuta was recently reconstructed and ok. The moment you hit the express is hell. Ajaokuta to the Niger bridge is hell. Once u cross the bridge, up to Anyingba is smooth. Even from that junction after Ajaokuta to otukpa junction is smooth. But Anyingba to dekina is terrible, lokoja to okene is terrible, okene to kasbah is terrible. Kasbah to lokoja through obajana, terrible.
And u ask, why is it only so.e igalaland Road in kogi that is good.
Same question I ask imo state governors why is Arondizuogu, a large town in imo, roads perpetually bad

I was talking with a Kogite today, though unconfirmed, he was telling me how a certain powerful politician intends to spread his tentacles to Kogi.
He insists that Faleke is that powerful politician's boy, a Yoruba and a Minority....

If INEC hadn't declared the elections inconclusive, which I think is another set-up (going by the number of voided votes as against Voters' card), Faleke would have been governor by now.

He also told me that the reason it was rumored that Audu came alive was because his body jolted as at the time of his burial.

No wonder Kogi east Senatorial district nominated his son to lead the state.

I was equally told that Wada is a Failure...ALL ROUND.
That the amenities which Kogi people enjoy was put in place by Audu.

I have another Kogite friend whom I will reach out to to scoop more news from...

But here's my take.

As far as Kogi state is concerned, anything that will rubbish that politician and his Cohorts is fine and welcome by me.

Whether APC wins or PDP does, I'm not really interested.
All we need and advocate for right now is good governance.

Now that the Igalas are fiercely and rightly so, demanding new polls over allowing the Tinubu's vulture puppet steal Audu's mandate and victory, the Yoruba minority in kogi are clamouring for a separate state outside kogi.

To the Ebiras, I just have to say to you that if Audu did not die the Yorubas will not remember you exist. Do not be drawn into their silly ways because if they really wanted genuine change in kogi they would have reached out to you to form a political alliance to oust the Igalas. This is exactly how they sold us in the better south for a ceremonial position in an ab0ki govt
