A car shouldn't be transparent. A car should be such that it should be easily spotted even from a distance. And a transparent car will be difficult to see in daylight, not to talk of night time. A transparent car will the cause of so many road traffic accidents. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Nice concept but I personally don't like the idea. A car is like a mini mobile home and anything I do in it should be private. 1 Like |

colossus2: he actually has a point bro, a valid one. that's why it's a concept car and hence you can't get it anywhere. |

colossus2: Do you know what common sense is? If you knew what common sense was all about, you will realise that: 1. A transparent car will create visibility problems for other drivers. 2. It is more difficult to see a transparent car than a coloured car. 3. I don't need to know more than the manufacturers to know that a transparent car is just an ideal, a concept that might never be put into the market. I hope I've answered you perfectly? |

nobilis:not if the glassy material is made to reflex light..there has been success with transparent substance even used in space shuttles and other ufos too |
Re: A Transparent Car? How Real Is This? (photo) by nobilis: 8:36pm On Dec 03, 2015 |
southcent: I get the point you're trying to make. But then, if that material is made to reflect light, it is no longer transparent. A transparent material cannot reflect light. Light passes through it. A transparent material can only reflect light if it loses some or all of its transparency. And by then, it is no longer transparent. |
Re: A Transparent Car? How Real Is This? (photo) by southcent: 9:26pm On Dec 03, 2015 |
nobilis:so if you say its no longer transparent becoz it reflects light then what do you now say of a translucent substance?? |
Re: A Transparent Car? How Real Is This? (photo) by nobilis: 10:25pm On Dec 03, 2015 |
southcent:Lol. Ok let me explain. A transparent substance allows light to pass through it such that objects seen through it appear unchanged. A translucent substance allows light to pass through but then it scatters the light rays such that objects seen through the translucent material appear unclear and somehow distorted. An opaque substance doesn't allow light to pass through. It either totally absorbs the light, such as black objects, or it absorbs some part of it and reflects a particular range out of all the wavelengths available in the light in question, or it totally reflects all of the light, as in the case of white objects. So, a translucent object doesn't reflect light. But even at that, translucency and transparency are different. But only fully opaque object or objects with a degree of opacity can reflect light. That's my own submission. 1 Like |
