Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

Thanks,
Seun (Founder Of Nairaland).
. Does it not amount to BIAS? Being biased is against God and man. Nigeria can be promoted without any consequence but promoting Biafra will attract a ban. It smacks of PARTIALITY. You cannot force marriage on any unwillingly partner. This type of thing does not happen in the civilized world. A people must have a RIGHT TO BE HEARD. It's a universal law of human right. Anything short of this is nothing but JUNGLE JUSTICE.

Obviously, seun is being pressured by external powerful forces.

It is a wrong call, no matter the people involved. Your responsibility ends on the topics you place on the homepage. Any other views, the responsiblity of the poster.

It portrays seun as dictatorial, anti-democratic yet at the same time weak.

I'm sure even ISIS will have a facebook page, but what does it matter? Zukaberg seems to have more important issues in his life than blocking expression of views and opinions.

But seun obviously has the time to want to literarily place his palm across the mouths of millions of people at the same time. Is that even possible? Time will tell.

Like I said, it was not a call made by himself, except he is one hell of a tribalist.

You go ban tire na. So what happens to freedom of expression and beliefs? So Yorubas are free to aspire and promote their Odua beliefs and Hausas, Arewa but Igbos of course are to be banned to talk or aspire for their beliefs in Biafra. Highly disappointed in you Seun.

What stops you from coming up with a superior argument why they should remain in Nigeria? Why are you so scared to discuss Biafra? Must we all have the same line of thoughts or intellectual discourse? I reject being or tagged a zombie where a fellow man will dictate what I discuss.

The poor lad his not being tribalistic.........only God knows the threat he has decided...Who knows. there rules and regulation in any social network sites like facebook,twitter...etc.
And if u can't comply by it you have the right to move else where and have your freedom of speech. And don't forget that nairaland his a product of his hard work and lively hood so I don't blame him if he generously guides it, in what some lads call being tribalistic!
Has I have said Seun does to have the right to barn any bodies freedom of speech but he has the right to barn comment that's seems harmful to his site....... you can move to face book, instagram etc
Naaa by force ; there his otherlands or create one yourself to promote such race and see where it lands you!

His post on prohibition of Biafra Agitations on Nairaland sounds more tribalistic.. As a matter of fact he made the 'decree' because he is from the west. It's no longer news that Nairalanders flock in to check names and proudly declare that they came to check names.. After the name checking , tribal war of words flow from all angles... Mr. Seun never made a move when the gas was brought in to the room and when it was leaking and circulating in the room.. Now that fire needs a lite to burn.. He is amending RULE NO 9... MR. SEUN tell us ur pain... because BEHIND THE STATED LIES THE UNSTATED

Nobody's saying stop the idea. Of course, we know the struggle will continue

All Seun's saying is DON'T do it on Nairaland forum

And if somehow this thing dies down now but later springs up in say, 10 years time because the 'idea' can't be stopped... still DON'T do it on Nairaland forum
When people see a spade and call it hand trowel. Since when do people stop expressing "ideas" on social media/forum? I expect people like you to know better. I'm not asking you to like, want or favour Biafra and her cause, but the truth is always very glaring there for all of us to see, but we always choose to look away.

This seun of a guy is showing what a dictator he is, or he's been bought over, or warned, or all of the above. He has NO RIGHT to trample on people's right to freedom of speech/expression. It's not done. Not in this century. And on a social network again? Oh, God! Someone should wake me up when this iguesss all over. undecided

And just so you know... He doesn't own Nairaland anymore. We all do.

1. You Nigerians complain and agree that the country is not united but are opposed to people who are agitating to form a country free from these problems
2. Like Sweetguy25 said in his thread, Yoruba and hausa are the only two tribes enjoying this scam called Nigeria. Igbos and their sisters in the Nigerian Delta don't gain anything by being Nigerians. The only reason Yoruba are happy being Nigerians is because the development of Nigeria is taking place in their region.
3. Nigeria does Not love the Igbos and Niger Deltans. Please remove that statement from. The Riverine environment of the Niger Delta has been destroyed from oil activities that bankrolls the country. Yoruba and Hausa don't care.

My broda d sad tin is dat sme niger deltans insult & call deir brodas jobless 4 participatin in a biafra peaceful protest because deir fada pays rent 2 his fellow man's haus (in lagos) due to d fact dat altho oil cmes 4rm his region he is still poor. Wat abt all d calabar/akwa-ibom boys who r houseboys evrywer domestically & commercially, even tho oil 4rm deir village built a mansion 4 one yoruba/hausa-fulani HOS Wat abt d ibo pple whom were asked 2 go & drown simply because dey supported a YOROBER man 4rm anoda political party? Wat abt wen a thread was created on NL abt ow 2 inherit all ibo pples property in lagos after dey must bn pushed outa lagos? Wat abt wen 9 niger deltans wer executed because dey clamored 4 resource control & environmental protectn 4 deir region. Biafra struggle shd not be silenced!! If only d NDLTANS will will wise up.

Seun has simply shown who he is in manners. I owe no appologies for anything I have to say here because you can't do morethan banning me from your irrational and biased forum. News media are meant to be free for all opinions. And who told you Seun, that you are a God to deliver judgements? If you do not support Biafra by reason of your ethinicity, how does your disposition become a yardstick for measuring other ethinic greiviances. If you call yourself a civilized entity like professor Wole Soyinka. You should learn to respect and accord people their right to opinions and ideas. People that speak like you just did, are bullies, who always think they can take every slightest advantage at their disposal to manipulate outcomes to their advantage. However, have you even asked yourselve, if God is in for Biafra, how can your irrisonable ban stop its actualization? And what if after all your efforts to sabortage it, it finaly comes to existence, where will you hide your freakin face? Bleep Nairaland. U can start from banning me. The fight for Biafra is a fight to finish.
