NA secretly buries 107 soldiers initially reported to be MIA. It only surfaced later that soldiers were gassed to death by BH. Fani Kayode critisizes the government https://www.naij.com/648418-fani-kayode-blasts-buhari-army-alleged-cover-slaughter-soldiers.html http://newswirengr.com/2015/11/26/nigerian-army-quietly-buries-105-dead-soldiers-in-maiduguri-earlier-reported-to-have-been-missing/# |

OAUTemitayo:That's untrue. You confuse democracy/freedom with independence. Nigeria got her independence in 1960 and gained her freedom and democracy in 1999. SA got her independence in 1910 and was democratized and freed in 1994. |

lionel4power:You assume a 100% readness on all ships plus zero needs else where? Fine 3 subs sink every thing all your men and supplies gone. And again no trucks means no means to advance of the beach. And our guns can be far inland shelling the landing. Either you advance run out supplies, stay and get wiped out or retreat after suffering losses. Either way you dont have the means to launch a amphibious invastion. At best you could do a raid or support a land operation. |

agaugust:Badger can shrug of 30mm sabout rounds fired from point blank. And effective range is not max range. The 105mm sabout we use as a max range of all most 30km. Try to hit or pen a target at that range. Same as the 12.7mm. Sure max range 6.8km but effective range is only 1.8km. The MK44 the most used 30x173mm auto canon effective rangebis only 3000m 1000m less. Both have the same max range. Again open day at is 1 day and takes place in a small fiels so the spectators can see every thing. The area used for the actual training is not shown. SA miltary doctrine in fighting a hostil army. Do not hold ground or take ground unless aboultly needed, use mobilty to draw the enemy in to kill zones and deafet them from maxim distance. This is not cowardly this is fighting to win. We dont fight fare. If we can we will bring a brigade to destoye a platoon. So yes we need long range fire power. The mechnized force off the SANDF is our primary force for drfrning SA. The motorized is the primary force for peace keeping and boader patrols. In the event of a invasion motorised protect key points and lined of comuncastion from your asymmetric threats, the reacstion groups and speciol forces operate behind the lines. Mech force fight on thr front lines. We did not send a mech infatry commpany to CAR now did we. |

mzilakazi:Did you read your own source? It actually wrecked your own argument and demolished yõur false story, I quote your own source... "Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, Col. andrewza:Until SANDF rights 20,000 homeland based citizen and resident religious terrorists armed with 23mm anti-aircraft guns, RPGs, long range morters, 105mm self propelled artillery, Shilka AAA, mortars, etc and mixed with innocent civilians on your streets, spread across 100 towns in South Africa and hiding camps in Kruger Park bush, with 1,000 ready to die suicide bömbers in the cities and shopping malls, you won't realize your military has ZERO experience in fighting a 21st century modern day asymmetric war on homesoil . |

BH strength has been estimated at 4000 by experts? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/feb/06/boko-haram-up-to-6000-hardcore-fighters-chad-niger http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN0LA2J120150206 SANDF fought over 4000 heavily armed bandits in one day. Poachers have defeated Nigeria long ago without any resistance. |

At least the police are not as secretive and dishonest as military. The police have admitted to have lost 90 000 police officers since BH insurgency started. http://dailypost.ng/2015/11/12/boko-haram-insurgency-has-claimed-90000-officers-so-far-ig-of-police/ |

| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by lezz(m): 7:24pm On Dec 11, 2015 |
OAUTemitayo:It is a sad irony,But the truth is that majority of these south African Zulus don't know what Nigeria did for them, from the military angle to the diplomatic arena. We looked the British in the eye and nationalised Barkley Bank just so Zulus from mpumalanga can call Capetown home and savages from Zulu natal could inhabit Johannesburg. All Africa got in return was Xenophobia from the ignorant Zulus and baseless competition from the ANC led government who have displayed gross incompetence in handling domestic governance and mediocrity in foreign diplomacy and engagement. Good thing South Africa has fallen from cloud 9. It was a long and heavy fall. They aren't smilling. |

lezz:You nationalised British entities for your own good. Britain supported the anti-apartheid campaign and even offered to educate ANC members for free. They accommodated and even funded the ANC with millions of pounds, just more than what Nigeria could only dream of. Many of our struggle heroes were educated in UK not Nigeria. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Apartheid_Movement http://www.aamarchives.org/ https://www.nelsonmandela.org/content/page/anti-apartheid-movement-archives1 http://www.anc.org.za/show.php?id=5695 Speaking about xenophobia? We first learnt about it when Nigeria was forcefully pushing Ghaians out of their country because they felt resentment towards them. Talking about Capetown and Johannesburg? Both CT and JHB had always been a home to black South Africans even during the days of apartheid. You really don't know much about SA politics. |

mzilakazi:So you know he is a former aviation minister, anyway aviation NOT defence, he is an ex minister no longer in government, he is hiding in his Abuja luxury bedroom safely, to run mouth commentary about a battlefield 700 km away where he has no courage to go and confirm any field information LOL....let him travel to Sambisa forest and bring us reliable field reports and photos then we can believe him instead of army official reports from the battlefield. |

andrewza:When did SADF do that? Show us history where your military fought 20,000 resident citizens heavily armed religious fanatics that massacre tbousands of fellow black citizens in their own homeland where they live together in towns and cities...and your hundreds of black Zulu suicide bombers killing fellow Zulus and Bantus in the public markets and bus terminals . |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by lezz(m): 10:55pm On Dec 11, 2015 |
mzilakazi:Although officially denied by the Nigerian government, Nigeria is believed to have also provided secret military training and provided other material support to Robert Mugabe’s guerrilla forces during the Rhodesian Bush War(Renamed Zimbabwe in 1979) against white minority rule of Prime Minister Ian Douglas Smith which was backed by the government in South Africa. To demonstrate its seriousness against multi-national companies in Nigeria that violated the economic/trade embargo on the South African regime, the local operations of Barclays Bank was nationalised after that bank ignored the strong protests by Nigeria urging it not to buy the South African government bond. Nigeria also nationalised the British Petroleum (BP) for supplying oil to South Africa. In the process of all these, Nigeria earned for itself the appellation a ‘frontline nation’, even though she was geographically far removed from the struggles in the Southern African region.http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/from-britain-s-cash-cow-to-africa-s-big-brother/172781/ mzilakazi:Here, I must raise my glass to your unparalleled _stupidity and short memory span. I have flogged you on this issue leaving scars deeper than the Boer's whips. In the early 80's illegal Ghanaian immigrants were OFFICIALLY deported in the manners consistent with every civilised nation. No killings, lootings or savage bloodbath like Zulu-dom. mzilakazi:Yes, you're right, Zulu butlers, cabdrivers, gardeners, security men were in captown and jobourg servicing their masters. And....yes, Soweto is just another area in (southern?) Jobourg, while Khayelitsha is in captown. Now go to bed, if you wake up with a little bit of honesty, then come quote me in the morning. |

lezz:Just by doing that little can cause you have that loud stinking mouth. Shame. What about the people who have literally lost their lives fighting for democratic South Africa. Cuba lost over 10 000, Angola around 20000 and Russia lost about 200 freedom fighters. Black South Africans were mutdered like flies and you and your useless leaders are busy stealing that struggle to yourselves. You glory thieves. Stop fooling yourself. Nigeria has never trained more than 10 South African struggle heroes. A whole lot of them were trained in Zambia, Tanzania and Russia. Your leaders have in fact over inflated your role in the struggle against apartheid. Many countries have contributed more than you and they do not make noise and those are Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Algeria, Cuba, Russia, Angola and Britain. lezz:The truth is that the manner in which Ghanaians were driven out of Nigeria was barbaric. Some Ghanaians lost their lives. The whole population of Nigeria including the government drove poor Ghanaians to the sea. It was with no doubt more barbaric than xenophobia that happened here in SA because our government and a whole lot of people never supported it. In Nigeria it was completely a different story. lezz:Johannesburg and Capetown were both inhabited by black men even before the white man set his foot in SA. Capetown has many townships other than Khayelitsha. In fact Khayetllitsha is a youngest township in CT having been established in 1985. We have Langa, Nyanga, Gugulethu and many many more townships which were established before Khayelitsha came into being. Majority of Black South Africans worked in Johannesburg as miners you fool and not as gardeners. Johannesburg and Capetown has always been within the reach of Black South Africans from day 1 when they were established. Cities were neutral even whites never lived in cities, they had their own residential area. Cities was were shopping was made. Blacks worked in those cities in shopping malls. They worked as municipality workers cleaning those cities and doing maintenance. Many even lived and attended universities in cities. Mandela's offices were in the city. The history you have learnt about SA is distorted and incorrect. |
