This is what many Man U fans don't want us to know... grin

I have always backed Hernandez up even b4 he was sold especially when he was repeatedly left on the bench for Welbeck... angry
Hernadez and Welbeck had their time under Moyes when both Van Persie and Rooney were injured. Welbeck was head and shoulder above Hernandez. For the fact that he is getting it with Leverkusen doesn't mean he would have gotten it okay elsewhere. Remember Madrid last season.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:27am On Dec 13, 2015
Hernadez case might be that he find a system that favored him or it's just working for him this season like his first season with us in 2010/2011 or he has now come of age after adding experience at 2 top clubs with all the pressure.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 11:40am On Dec 13, 2015
Hernandez is the Van Nistelrooy, people seem not to just know. The walkaholic natue of Welbeck made him to be favoured. At real. he simply can't beat benz.

But he is at leverkusen and he got his mojo back. LVG Iis simply a modern day dunce

Elxandre:
To be fair, we wouldn't have lost the game with the full squad.
Why isn't Young playing for God's sake. Dude is miles better than Depay, and it's a massive insult to not give him a chance.
He was one of the reasons we made top four last year.

I'm happy Chicharito has finally showed these idiotic teams (Madrid & United) his quality.
I prefer him to Benzema because of his aggression, it's not everyday you see a player who fights and makes runs till the very last minute.
Madrid may have won the league if they have him a chance earlier instead of the hilariously lazy Benzema.

Making Top four seems to be like a Donkey passing through the eye of a needle now.
Scary sad

I can't believe I am reading this. Benzema was Madrid's second best player last season. In matches Ronaldo wasn't in his element, Benzema rose to the occasion both general play and goals.

Chicharito was given plenty chance on his arrival to Madrid. I think his first game against Athletic Madrid, Benzema was pulled out at 63 minutes for Hernadez. From that moment Madrid attacking play went to the grave. Score was at 1-1 when Chicha came on, but as the pressure became less, Athletic came out and got the winner at Benabau. Chicharito was handed many subs and some starts but he was always anonymous.

In the UCL game against Ludogorets, Benzema was rested while Chicha started. In that game Hernadez played for 62 minutes. Completed just 8 passes out of 11 he attempted.

In the same game against Ludogorets, Benzema came on at 66 minutes and completed 10 passes out of 12, then scored the winning goal.

Before long, report emerged that Ronaldo preferred Benzema to Chicharito by a thousand miles. A few weeks after that, Ronaldo told journalists that Benzema was the best striker in the world.

So all these things depends on system and players who are in your team. Remember too Chicha is an inbox player, he would most likely be obstructing Ronaldo's movement. Benzema often drifts away from the point man's zone to involve in build up play.

Lastly, it's easy to be carried away by temporal success. You look at a player's general ability not current scoring steak like we have Harry Kane currently. Let Kane or Vardy score 40, they are below Arguero even if he scores 20.

Hernadez is Nilstelrooy? That's must be a joke.

Hernadez was mostly annoynimous in matches he started for Manchester United, except against Chelsea. But as super sub, he did 100%

When I said ruud van, I meant a box 18 player. He isn't hustler. Stays there and puts the ball in the back of the net.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 12:15pm On Dec 13, 2015

Elxandre, lest I forget, those matches Hernadez scored early in the season were those ones Madrid won heavily. Like his two goals in their 8-2 win. His impact want not felt in more than two games which came late in the season. And he soon disappeared in subsequent games.

He was good at it in the first season he came, subsequently he struggled. He's a great super sub. When late goals were needed he is thrown into the box as every players pushes forward. With plenty pressure inside the opposition box........

He wld have still be a back up to martial coming in late know the game to earn points for utd. But its too late and LVGs ass would be kicked.

Let's please forget about all these guys... They're gone and they can't solve our current problems or crisis that Manchester United are facing currently... Only if we can get them back which is not possible...
Let's move forward to the next game and how the team can regain it well known attacking football and make we the fans proud...

Forward ever...
We will only continue to argue about this or that and see that we are still at a point.

I doubt you watched Madrid late last season.
Chicharito is not the most skilful striker, but he's very effective!
Madrid were struggling badly before. Chicha got a run of games, and he fetched them points.
You remember the Ath Madrid game UCL game? Benz would never have been there to finish that CR7 pass.
Even if CR7 didn't like Chicha, that's because Chicha was actually playing as a striker, unlike that fake Zidane wannabe grin

If Madrid had a Suarez, instead of a lazy Maggot like Benz, I'm certain that would have won the league last year.

If you read what I wrote in context, I wasn't inferring Benzema being a poor striker, rather he's a lazy one. He loses his influence before 70 minutes most times.
That's the difference between him and Suarez. Suarez is always a pain to defend against and very aggressive, but Benzema stops even chasing balls or making runs after a short while.
How many times have you seen Benz score a through one on one?
Simple! his movement is mostly poor for a top striker.

There have been many strikers in history not known for flair, but very deadly, Inzaghi comes to mind. Even Raul is far more accomplished than totally skilful strikers like Berbatov (We used to call him Baba T back then grin)
Magical Berbatov is arguably not even on Benzema's level on a good day, but less gifted strikers not known for their ball playing ability were better acheivers (Drogba and co)

Talking about Berbatov is making me daydream of those days United had that dream team of European football, when good players like Tevez were on the bench, When our frontline scared European and English football cheesy
Like play like play 19 year old Martial is our best striker now. smiley

So because of two matches, Madrid should have benched Benzema for Chicharito who made the team's attack looked mechanical?

Tell me after the Athletic and Celta Vigo games, what else Chicha did till the end of the season? At some point Benzema was injured, Chicha was not even used again. Madrid preferred to play without a striker instead of Chicharito who distorted the flow of their game.

April 29 Madrid 3 Almania 0
Chicha played 90 mins scorer 0

May 2 Seville 2 Madrid 3
Chicharito played 66 mins scored 0

May 5 Juventus 2 Madrid 1
Chicha came on 66 mins scored 0

May 9 Madrid 2 Valencia 2
Chicharito played 90 mins 0 goal.
Pepe and Isco scored.

May 13th Madrid 1 Juventus 1
Chicha from 67 minutes goals 0

May 17th Español 1 Madrid 4
Chicha came 63rd minute. Scored 0

May 24th Madrid 7 Gatafe 3
Chicha played 90 mins scored 2

Can you now tell me how Chicha fetched Madrid points with a run of games? Look at the 6 games after Athletic and Celta games, he went blank. Not only did he went blank in scoring, he was annoynimous in most of the time. He also missed scoring an almost empty net at least twice. I think against Valencia.

Lastly, Madrid struggled because of long term injury to Pepe which distorted the Centre defence pairing with Ramos. Verane inexperience exposed Madrid.

Your statistics didn't include games in early April and even march I think. That was even the periods I was talking about.
I watched almost all Madrid's game last season, and I'm not speaking just by stats alone.
They don't always reveal all the truth.
Even with what you posted, Madrid won all games he started. This guy stretches opposition defense, thereby creating openings.

The Fact is Madrid's attack dies off once benzema fizzles out of the match.
It then becomes almost impossible to break down a defense.
A striker who doesn't even fight for the ball.

It's okay if you don't agree anyways.
