Can anyone tell me which of the Islamic sect Yoruba Muslims belong in. Shia or Sunni?

Mostly Sunni

99% of Muslims in Nigeria are Sunni.

They belong to the peaceful, educated, non-violent and progressive sect of Islam.

The Northern Muslims have a lot to learn from the South-Western Muslims.

I am a Yoruba-man & a christian, I have many muslims in my family and as my friends, infact many of my very good friends are muslims. During "keresimesi" and ileya" we all party together, Pasuma(a muslim) plays during christmass as well as id el "whatever" grin

. If I have a thing to celebrate in a church, my muslim friends will not hesitate to follow me and if I am tied I can comfortably take a rest in a mosque (as long as I maintained decorum and do not disturb their activities!).
I love South West of Nigeria.

Anything that will hamper the party life of a ypruba man is on his own, be it religion, ethnicity, political affiliation.

Unfortunately an average northern muslim does not see a south western muslim as a real muslim. They believe the south western muslims have a lot to learn from them.
