The Bell 412EP Helicopter 5N-LAG (Manufacturers Serial Number 36495) was recently presented to the public as a new purchase by the current Lagos State Government to aid its crime fighting efforts.

However, a trail of documents and news articles readily available online show that this helicopter (5N-LAG) together with 5N-LSG were both procured in 2009 via deductions from the Lagos State Security Trust Fund.

The two aircraft were advertised for sale earlier this year.

The inference from this is that the Lagos State Government purchased the 5N-LAG helicopter from itself?!!!

They just balanced up the payment for the helicopter and they've just been given the evidence of payment

This is a scam if proven true. Ambode can go down for this. This should be pushed to FP. Let APC and Ambode also feel some of the heat. Its too cold in Lagos.

The helicopters looks different.

But is it not possible that LAG govt swapped the registration of the old helicopters for the new ones.

Just like what we now have for cars, where u can trade your old car but register your new car on the number of that old car.

You guys are just making unnecessary noise. Having same registration number of the old aircrafts on the new ones is not enough evidence of fraud.

Infact, that fraudster must be very very dull, to even imagine retaining the old registration on the new aircrafts.
