Nigeria will not explode and the polity is not overheated in anyway. In fact, democracy is gradually taking root and the court of appeal just gave a sound judgement that will help deepen democracy the more. People who rigged their way into office will no longer be allowed to benefit from their criminality.

If Wike want to continue as governor, he should contest and win a free, fair and credible rerun election. The last election in Rivers state cannot stand any credible legal scrutiny as we've seen. It was a complete charade. Kudos to the judiciary for ensuring that justice is done in this case.
With all these election nullification here and there & mostly against PDP members, what or how would you brand Jega? Is PMB suppose to probe him or just live him because Jega brought him to power?

interesting development. Almost all the election for governorship in south south upturned. Does it mean there was a free and fair elections devoid of rigging in the north. Cos I'm yet to hear any one upturn due to irregularities in the north or any of APC strongholds.
These continous precedence creates a lacuna for the conspiracy theorist to thrive brandishing this present government as hostile to the south south. and as each day passes, their conspiratory claims is gaining wider acceptance because no evidence is refuting such claims rather, the evidences further buttress those claims, hence making it appear valid.
bros forget the north o... they staunch APC . everybody knows apc. coasted home in the north .

now to delta... it's a pdp state and apc case was thrown out , also akwa ibom state is a pdp state and well only a few LG wiill be reran due to violence or whatever reason bayelsa hmm bros it's a very tight one btw apc and pdp (even bayelsans are not happy with pdp n Jonah )

Edo is an apc state tho pdp followers are growing .

as for rivers ... forget what wike is saying there was no election there . foreigner who witnessed the election didn't bother to wait for voting to commence they filed their report after seeing what happened during ordinary accriditation . b4 those boiz go kidnap them lol

But now, he will certainly lose! smiley
Totally agree with you. Now its going to be soooooooooooo hard for him to win. If they allow the re run to be fair, Wike may still win.

I may not be a PDP fan but I wish we can just respect peoples wishes in the riverine areas. Just the way Lagos forever kicked against PDP and the center remained powerless. Just maybe these Niger Delta people want PDP. As far as no violence or rigging, let them be!

Seriously, it was war throughout. Shepopotamus even left her husband side in Otuoke on gubernatorial election day to spearhead the malady that occurred.

Now let's tell ourselves some truths. If you think Wike did win the election then something is wrong with you. Hear me right, he could have won without rigging but then he won through rigging which is against humanity. If he thinks he is the people's choice then it's never too late to start campaigning.

And if you think Dasuki, Dokpesi and the rest fu*kers under trial are innocent, then please and please check in in the nearest psychiatric hospital cuz something is apparently wrong with your brain.

My humble contribution. Somebody should please welcome me back to nairaland plus tomorrow is my birthday. God bless Nigeria. God bless you you and you.

Need I remind you that the APC CANNOT WIN IN ANY FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS ON THIS COUNTRY WITH THE RUBBISH WE'VE SEEN SO FAR? All you can do is Rig and Wike will be waiting for you. Be prepared to declare the rerun INCONCLUSIVE, we already know the devices of the Enemy. What you saw in Bayelsa was an Introduction

And u think there will ever be a free and fair election in Nigeria under this Government that wants everything for itself?. Kogi and bayelsa elections are enough for one to know that free and fair election under this govt won't be easy to come by.

Fools are already consoling themselves claiming what happened in bayelsa will happen in Rivers. That simply isn't possible.
First and foremost, apc is much more grounded in rivers than in bayelsa. There is hardly any ward in rivers that apc doesn't have a presence.
APC has been in existence in rivers far before bayelsa and a vast majority of the People here have come to associate with it. Members of APC here aren't abokis from the north but sons of the soil themselves. Don't let any fool deceive u.
Unlike bayelsa where we all know that Dickson is the only heavy weight apc man here, chieftains of APC here are many and even includes some traditional rulers.
Above all, unlike in bayelsa where both candidates are bad markets in my opinion, Dakuku is a far more credible candidate than wike whose antecedents has Obiakpor chair still hunts so many down here.
To me, a free and fair election will be too close to call.
It can go either way and I pray it goes Dakuku way. APC chances are so real down here.

Except in some very few cases, appeal court doesn't upturn the judgement of tribunal since no new exhibit would be accepted.
The only reason the Court of Appeal give in upturning the judgment of a lower court/tribunal is when it finds an error of law or a misdirection of fact and in this case I know there none of these. This legally speaking but we all know what can happen in Naija

If you think otherwise then I will say that maybe there will be a PDP governor in Lagos in very short time.

Don't forget to like my comment.
My friend, the variables aren't the same in both states. Lagos has never had a sitting governor decamp to the opposition to fight APC. When Amaechi left PDP, he left with 2 senators, about 8 Reps and 27 Assembly members to APC. You can't just compare that with Lagos that has always been United. APC is more formidable in Rivers than any other state in the South south. That was why Wike wouldn't allow a free and fair election hold in March and April

APC more formidable in Rivers State? Well, am not aware of that as a Rivers man who lives all my entire life in the state I don't see APC having a say in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Aqwa Ibom state.

For Lagos state if you check the difference in votes cast for the APC gubernatorial candidate that led to the victory of the APC you will notice that the gap was not up to 3000 votes. Now compared this with previous election of Tinubu and Fashola which the gap was very glaring.

Even in this I still give Lagos to APC any day.

There is nothing wrong with an inconclusive election. Infact it's a very healthy development because it suggests keen competitivenesss.
The electoral law is there and gives rooms for such. For any inconclusive election, a rerun will hold till its conclusive. Don't let fools continue to deceive u. U need to read more.
