It is ok in certain circumstance.

there was a time i went to a funeral of a friend's mum. at the burial site, the soil was just hitting on the casket loudly. even the deaf can hear it, I just held my pal's hand. I know he needed it at that time despite the heavy dark glasses he used to mask it....

Some times it is necessary..... cool
