Bae, dont be scared na. Na even small needle dem dey use o not that regular long needle. Na baby needle and like na small vaccine dey dia sef. Within 10 seconds its over and as for me I no dey feel any pain as long as I dont rub the spot.
The shot is given on your upper arm. Pls remind your Dr o. Fearfear.

Work on boosting your pcv.
Use your drugs religiously, eat loads of dark veggies and fruits, eat meat, liver, peanuts, cashew nuts. Beans too esp soyabeans( it contains about 49% of the daily value of Iron that you need. So now could be the time to make nice yummy soyamilk. I dont advice you to buy the commercial one cos of the added sugar) and you may want to switch to whole wheat bread.

I dont know about the sugar leaking from your kidney. Maybe he was trying to explain why you have high blood sugar. If that is the case you need to know how high so that you can make some dietary changes or if it will require taking more aggressive treatment.
Hope you werent diabetic before pregnancy?

@pocahuntaz, wot were u given as per ur pcv? As oda mamas hv said apart from ur haematinics, incorporate fruits and veggies into ur diet. Eat boiled eggs too. Recheck after 1month. Ur Dr made it sound 'scary'. I m sure u had glucose in ur urine. Its not really much to worry abt esp if ur bld sugar is normal. Also having same in this preggy and my bld sugar is normal. OGTT normal so I m nt bothered.

hahahhahaha.....goodevening beautiful mamas.i have same experience. my first shot was at 4Months after I registered for antenatal, second was a month later....had my baby in oct and I took the third shot in nov when baby was 6 weeks old.the first was not painful, second had mild pains but d third was painful for two and half days.....I even had fever because of it.so surprise to hear someone else had same experience. ...

D duration I administered is even enough reason 4 d pains. My duration is quite diff.
