Plus i don't even like receiving broadcast messages. It's just fake.

If the recepient of the message hasn't got network or data on his/her phone, it will be a single line. It doesn't necessarily mean your number isn't stored.

That's not true, WhatsApp is designed in such a way that if the person comes back online within few days, the person would receive the message(double mark)

Lol... And what if the person doesnt come back online within few days?.... You would have already picked up a fight with a friend all because he/she doesn't have network. The big question is, for how many days or weeks or months would one have to wait to confirm if it is truly a case of the person not having your contacts or if its just a case of 'no network' or defective whatsapp?

Ur wrong.. Single mark means sent, double mark means delivered, double mark in blue color means delivered and read...... So as long as d person's fone is ON and he/she is on whatsapp, it must double mark, except d person hasn't been online 4sumtym wich wud display on his profile, dats wen it wud be single mark. But in a situation were d person is online or just left and ur msg was sent b4 then, and its still single mark, then ur number is nt saved.....

There is this particular whatsap contact I can't see when last she checked online. I can only see her when she is online. That wasn't the case until she complained I monitor her online. I concluded she deleted my contact. Let me find out through op's approach
