A woman who goes by the name Florence Esu last weekend engaged the husband of her late friend, who died 4 months ago while she was pregnant with her third child with Dr. Bright Echefu, her husband.
Florence won Miss Aso Nigeria 2009.
Cindy Echefu, Bright’s late wife, died less than a month after turning 28 years old, this August, 2015, when she was pregnant with the couple’s third child.

Friends and some family members, including Cindy’s cousin, have taken to Facebook and Instagram to pour out their suspicions and frustrations on Bright moving on too quickly, in their opinion.

A photo of his new fiancee is now his profile picture on his Instagram page.

He has replied,

“Engagement doesn’t mean we have been sleeping with each other. She is the only friend I can keep in the care of kids.”

He also added his late wife’s family fully supports him and even his late wife would support him if she was alive, saying,

“My late wife’s family are [sic] fully aware of this decision and they knew I did it for the sake of our kids” and “The Cindy I have known and loved so dearly is part of this decision.”

In as much as its his life, and only he knows where the shoe pinches; he should have shown more sensitivity especially for the family of the deceased. Particularly since he's proposing to the friend of the late wife.
The flaunting of his new relationship on social media was unnecessary, especially so soon after his wife's demise. A little restraint would have gone a long way

To me its too early but considering what this man would have been going through, its not a wrong decision. All he (necessarily) needs do is reach a good understanding with the family of the late wife.

And any other thing we don't know about it God knows and the rest in nobody's business. Life must go on.

If he wants to remarried that's no p but getting married to his late wife's friend after four months.....

Yes, it wouldn't bring back the dead, but at least it shows they have respect for the dead.. The woman was his wife and mother of his kids... And to Florence, Cindy was her friend. Plus, it would have minimised the scandal of the sudden engagement.

Moving on is a sign of respect in my opinion. And the scandal would not have happened anyways if it was not her friend that was involved.
Thats just the nigerian society for you. I am sure the outcry would be about the friend killing the guy's wife so as to marry him. Which is definitely not so. She 'WAS' his wife. She 'WAS' her friend. Remember 'WAS'.
