The fallacy that Rooney is the problem of the team has been proven wrong over and over again. In fact, the current players are affecting Rooney. They are not matured and mostly don't play same kind of football.

The following players should be sold :

Fellaini
Mata
Blind (could be managed as a squad player)
Memphis. (under probation)
Darmian

Buy back Nani.

And Jones to the list. The way he has being rolled on the ground by average attackers recently is a big concern.

And of course Rooney. With what we're playing no player in this team should be taking home such huge wage.

We won games this season with his boring style when we had better players on the pitch and even managed to top the table briefly, so I think he isn't fully clueless.

The problem with Van Gaal is that he smokes too much weed, which makes him select the very worst of an already poor team as starters , thereby compounding his own problems.. Hehehe

Pep has fooled Bayern in Europe playing some really docile/toothless football, when Robben and Ribery are absent.
Possession football is useless without 'hot' wing players.

I don't like Mou, but I'd pick him, since he has a point to prove and he's a brilliant coach, even though he isn't long term.
He has learnt his lessons I believe, and I even see him playing attacking football in United just to prove doubters wrong!

Rooney is the only one who played sensible football today. His disturbance of referee today is understandable. The ref made three straight wrong calls with the first two involving Rooney himself.
Meanwhile, Martial dropped deep and even drifted wide after first 20 mins when he was mostly isolated and lost can contention of long balls. I thought a center forward must stay in between the two centre backs playing on the shoulders of the last men. Lol. He is also now becoming selfish refusing to make an obvious through pass. Jones had no blame. He did his job well. The goals were from Memphis mistake and Young's hand ball leading to a free kick.

We've been lucky to know one manager for more than twenty years, but I don't see this attacking football style as our philosophy infact I see a lot of similarity between jose and SAF.

Attacking philosophy is "Arsenals way" Wenger's Arsenal used to play better football than we. Could ever hope for and for awhile rivaled Barcelona for "most fun team to watch"
