The Igbo: Our Position on Biafra

•We can no longer continue to pretend that all is well when some groups capitalize on our sad experience of the past to try to railroad us into fighting another avoidable civil war
•The number of protesters should be a warning signal to the Federal Government not to dismiss the Biafra issue with a wave of the hand,
•The youths started agitations for Biafra because of the feeling by Ndigbo that they would never get justice in Nigeria and that their leaders had been compromised

I totally agree, but I disagree with everything biafra at least for the present, what exactly is that marginalisation we all talking about, simply cos goodluck Jonathan who wasn't even an igbo man lost the election, suddenly we Igbos can't take it any longer. It's a big shame. Kids who didn't witness the war nor did their mothers aer screaming secession and threatening violence. It depicts modern day Igbos are ignorant and clearly should stick to the shops, but as an igbo man who is an intellectual I believe in the future of the igbo man whether in one Nigeria or its divisions. Biafran agitation currently is untimely and not based on sound judgement

10. Nasir El Rufai – Before he was made the
FCT Minister, El Rufai was broke, homeless
and was looking for loan to import taxis from
the UK. After he was made the minister, he
seized landed properties that belonged to
Nigerians and resold them with huge profit.
It’s estimated that he stole $1 billion from
2003-2007.
11. Tunde Fashola – He is the poster boy of
Tinubu. Boht of them looted Lagos dried and
left it in debt of about N1 billion. Fashola,
among other thing built his personal website
for N78 million, drilled borehole for over N100
million per each and built a kilometre road for
N1 billion. He stole $900 million from
2007-2015. He’ll soon be a minister to
continue the looting.
12. Chubike Rotimi Amaechi – From 2007
to 2015, he stole $700 million and $150
million from that money was used to sponsor
Buhari and APC.
13. Atiku Abubakar – When he as asked by
our reporter how he made his money, he
simply said “he was always at the right place
at the right time.” Atiku is an astute
businessman, but through shady deals, he
stole $500 million from 1999-2007.
14. James Ibori – He stole $150 million from
1999-2007 as governor of Delta State. He’s
serving his term for money laundering in the
UK.
15. Amina Mohammed – This woman was
the founder of Afri-Project Consortium (APC)
that was in charge of all PTF Projects during
Abacha’s regime. About $125 million was
stolen from PTF accounts from 1994-1998.
Buhari has just nominated the same woman
as a minister to continue to stealing.
16. DSP Alamieyeseigha – He stole $120
million and was arrested for money
laundering. He pleaded guilty and long
served his term.
17. Sule Lamido – He stole $110 million
between 2007-2015 and out of that amount,
$50 million was found in his sons’ bank

days together with his sons.
18. Rabui Kwankwaso – He stole $100
million as a governor of Kano State. EFCC has

“singing” how they siphoned the money

''miscreants''. A country whose leaders refer
to those that seek to enforce their legitimate
rights as ''money-loving drug dealers and
skilful scammers''.

A country that cannot make a distinction
between those that seek to peacefully
exercise their right of self-determination
and those that terrorise, kill and maim
others in an attempt to impose their faith.
There are many truths that the Nigerian
people will have to come to terms with
before our nation can be at peace with
itself.

An ocean of blood has been shed in the
name of a united Nigeria yet the
perpetrators of state-sponsored violence
have never been brought to book. Many
souls have been wasted in trying to keep us
one. How much more blood has to flow
before those that have ruled us from time
immemorial accept the fact that nations
cannot be established by subjugation and
tyranny but only by justice, equity, truth,
equal rights and consensus.

The truth of the Jos massacre in 1945
where hundreds were slaughtered cannot
be denied. The truth of the Kano riots in
1953 where thousands were butchered
cannot be denied. The truth of the pogroms
in the north in 1966 where hundreds of
thousands were killed cannot be denied.
The truth of the slaughter of millions of
innocent civilians, women and children
between 1967 and 1969 during the
Nigerian civil war cannot be denied.

The truth of the Asaba massacre in 1969
where 1000 little boys and old men were
rounded up in the town square and shot in
the head cannot be denied.
The truth of the massacre of hundreds of
thousands of Christians and ethnic
minorities all over the north and particularly
in the Middle Belt throughout the 80’s and
90’s cannot be denied. The truth of political
sharia with its attendant violence, trauma,
blood-letting and butchery from 2000-2003
in the far north cannot be denied.

The bitter truth of Boko Haram and the
relentless slaughter of hundreds of
thousands of innocent Nigerians by Islamic
fundamentalists in northern Nigeria from
2009 up until today cannot be denied. The
truth of the murder of dozens of young
youth corpers and hundreds of other people
in the far north in 2011 cannot be denied.
The truth of the brutal slaughter of innocent
Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen over the last
20 years and up until today cannot be
denied. O Nigerians, who has bewitched
thee? Why do we hate truth and those that
speak it with such passion?  Like the ostrich,
we have buried our heads in the sand and
we act as if these things never happened.
We refuse to acknowledge the evil within us
and we refuse to honor the dead by atoning
for our sins and calling for retribution and
justice.

These horrendous events cannot be denied
and neither shall they ever be forgotten. The
blood of the innocents that were
slaughtered by these relentless Huns speaks
through the ages and from generation to
generation.  That blood cries out to God in
heaven and it calls for vengeance. It is time
for justice to be done. It is time for those
that consistently kill and shed blood in their
ignoble quest to rule us forever to be
brought to book. It is time for the Tutsis of
Nigeria to be brought to heel. It is time for
those that starved millions of little children
to death in the name of crushing Biafra to
be exposed.

It is time that those who seek to play down
these events and who seek to cover up their
complicity in genocide be called out and
shamed.  It is time that some of our elders
and so-called leaders are sent to the
International Criminal Court for genocide
and murder and for crimes against
humanity. It is time to rediscover our
humanity. It is time for the ancient leaders
and guardians of the Nigerian state to admit
that they have built our so-called unity on
nothing but murder, carnage and the blood,
guts and bones of millions of slaughtered
innocents.

It is time for them to apologies to the
Nigerian people for their insufferable
conspiracy of silence and their insatiable
greed. It is time for them to tell the truth
about our blood-soaked and frightful
history, to confess their sins, to kneel down
before the Ancient of Days and to beg Him
for forgiveness. It is time for them to start
fearing the Lord of Hosts, to stop hating the
messenger and to start dealing with the
message.

My friend you see you are not understanding the big picture , I know you don't support the agitation for Biafra I'm not faulting your stand on Biafra no, every Igbo can never be for Biafra, but where so many people, you included are getting this agitation wrong is equating it with Jonathan election lost, Biafran didn't start because of Buhari, it has been there. Jonathan never engaged Kanu in that way, he avoided all you are seeing right now. But what Buhari did was played into Kanu trap by his one sided appointment excluding the igbo from his cabinets when he made the 95% comment in America i was so disappointed and he still carried it out and also arresting Kanu was the worst mistake of this government Kanu was not popular in Nigeria until his arrest. I myself I'm not a big fan of Biafra agitation and i'm not against either I'll tell you why . If i am in position of power what i will agitate for is true federalism and i have this feeling that Biafra agitation meant be the turning point for our country to go back and think hard how to restructure the country for the betterment of all.
When you question how the igbo's are marginalized i will tell you, In as much as i don't live in the country i grow up there. Nigerian government has been marginalizing our people after independence and that get worst after the war, The policies of Nigeria government are not favorable to us . Have you ask yourself why there was no international airport in the southeast until Enugu, they just up graded just recently, as much as they call it international, they only allowed one major airline to operate what is that . Lagos seaport is over crowded why don't they make use of Portharcourt or Warri instead they restrict the activities on those port i know they are not in southeast but it will be tremendous value to southeast/southsouth .
Look at the issue of the second Niger bridge for years even in the eighties government after government has promise to build it since then they have planed and finish constructing river Benue bridge with tax payers money without tolling, but you will pay N200 for 25 years, that is if they built it, where in Nigeria today that tolling in federal roads exist are you telling me that river benue bridge is more important then second niger bridge, 80% of federal road in southeast are dead trap , have you seen the restructuring of the Nigeria customs, its only southsouth/southeast got single digit with southeast getting the lowest 4. In one Obasanjo regime some communities in Imo state was divided for instance Egbema was divided north and south , south have lots of oil it was added to River state while the north stayed in Imo state this are some of the systematic policies they are using to slow developments in our zone, Do you know how many students that was denied admission in southeast because of quota where someone with 36 score will get admitted in federal universities against 180 why not play on a level playing field for all are we not Nigerians. This are why people are agitating for Biafra you may not like it and that does not make them coward or failure as you put it . Its there right do you want me to continue . Please stop the name calling...

ok Bro you have your points, I have an issue about the methods of actualising biafra and also the plans of the Biafrans, you reside outside the country, can you just decide in a night to relocate permanently to Nigeria, I doubt that, you must plan, strategise on many things solely because you would not want people to laugh at you if your decision to relocate turns out flawed. I haven't yet been privy to concrete information about the plans of biafra, how exactly we won't be one a laughing stock if we secede and fail.
