I am yet to see any stats which shows Van Persie won the league. He scored just 26 goals. In Arsenal he scored 30 and couldn't win the league for Arsenal. Suarez scored 31 goals and couldn't win the league for Liverpool. So how did 26 goals become a league winner while?


RVP was just an opportunists who rode on the solidity of United team to gain an EPL medal. If he didn't come we would have won the league with 100 points instead of 89 points because we had far less injuries than when we finished 89*points the previous seasons and De Gea and Welbeck had matured.

At least RVP has won the golden boot in his footballing career. Rooney has won zilch. Rooney at best should be used as a squad player at the moment. I appreciate his efforts for the team all through the years though.
