I. Can help. Lost 10 kg in the last 3 months but its serious hard work. However once u pass a certain stage it gets easy.
Ist u must exercise. No short cut o.The trick is to note that muscles burn calories even when u aren't exercising so its better to do weight exercises than cardio egs do squats and sit ups after skipping/jogging. U build stronger muscles. At the begining I was working out evday, now mscles are toned and even when I don't work out in 3 days I don't shoot up.skip everyday 300_500 skips even if u feel ur muscles are dying,push it.
2. Diet. Count your calories. Don't exceed 1,200 daily. Cut out milk/diary and soda. Use creamer instead. Reduce gluten, wheat, garri them. Please because u are straining your muscles, u gotta eat lotsa protein including one egg for breakfast.
3. Ginger ! Its a wonder food. Drink as tea. Blend with fruits. It helps detox and cleanses the colon.

Thanks a lot, dear. My problem is that exercise doesn't really work for me. Initially i might lose a few kg but once my body gets used to it, that's the end. I just do it to keep fit but lazy me stopped awhile ago. But i will start again. I don't know how to count calories. I love proteinous (dis word dey exist?) meals and ginger drink. I 've done away with sugary stuff...well, couldn't resist it during this festive period sha.
I was actually looking for a quick fix because I'm the world's most indisciplined person. I'd get tired after a week, but i will try my best.

Fruitfulwoman, ladyGuinvere is very correct. Although i went for a bit more drastic approach cos i was planning to lose 14kg before January so i can resume TTC and because i always had issues with constipation.

So i started out with a detox/colon cleanse
-squeeze lemon in warm water and drink first thing in the morning
-my detox juice (i bought a juicer) contents were -celery, apple, cucumber, green pepper, (parsley occassionally),lemon and ginger root. i drink this right after the lemon water
-swedish bitters mixed in water i took all through the day
-also got dulcolax (laxative), took that for 3 days.
-the plan was to continue with living bitters after the swedish bitters finishes cos i had just started my period when i started the detox and living bitters was not recommended for women in their period. I bought living bitters, took 1 spoon and trashed the damn thing! that shii is bitter!!!!!!!

Typical meal plan was: Breakfast- 2 eggs
Lunch- moi moi or grilled chicken and steamed vegetables
Dinner- chicken peppersoup, vegetable soup with little oil or just lots of watermelon
snack in between meals, fruits or nuts. Lots of water all through the day

Exercise routine: started out slow initially ..started with 30mins everyday but ended up doing 2 hours in the gym 4 or 5 times a week. 1hr cardio and 1 hr weight training. Best way to stay disciplined is to find someone to workout with...it helps with motivation

My pharmacists also added some drugs. A brand of orlistat (Ecoslim or Xenical) and fat burner supplement (it contains inositol and vitamin B6 which is wonderful for women with PCOS). Orlistat is prescribed for obese people, it breaks down the fat and you pass it out as oil in your stool. so you see oil in your faeces, that kind of discourages you from eating meals that are cooked with red oil (at least it did that to me )

@sugah now that's what I call dedication! Da! U sef pass me.At a point I was hitting the streets for an hour jogging in the morning saturdays. Immedately I hit my bmi I slowed down cos I kept loosing weight steadily.
Idid the lemon/lime detox one time but I wasn't dedicated that time and blew up once I stopped. Presently I created my own bitters. I'm drinking aloe vera water. I cut d pieces and soak in clean water. I'm hoping the anti inflammatory contents will decrease the adeno size
For those that don't know exercise
1. Helps blood flow to the uterus and that means better qty eggs and toned uterus
2. Natural detox
3. Clearer skin and a lovely body.
Its a win win and every ttc momma MUST have a regimen. Don't let anybody decieve u, it dosent stop conception

After 2 years of actively TTC, buying and trying all i read on the internet just to get pregnant i get pregnant on the 1 month i was not trying.
My plan was to lose weight before the end of january so i can redo an IUI but Gods plan for us was different.

ebony13 thank you. That is because I attribute my BFP to no other than God. Maybe the exercises helped, maybe the drugs and life style changes helped but my ever faithful God did it for me.

I have a question that has been on my mind, am not sure what thread to post this but I would appreciate every possible honest opinion you all have because I have learnt so much on this thread.
My twin sister travelled for her masters last year June and returned back home 3weeks ago to her hubby who works here,3 days after her arrival she noticed that her hubby kept using condom with her apparently they have been trying to conceive for over 5years now, so she asked why the use of condom when she was hoping with all the test she did abroad and all the prenatal vitamins she's been swallowing since she's been away she should be overtly fertile and be able to conceive and then the husband said he has something to tell her and that is the reason why he he has been using the protection, he ended up saying he tested +ve to hiv and hepatitis b and that was it.
She felt betrayed and dead inside .
She immediately went with him to run the hiv and hepatitis and she tested -ve to the two.
Since then she has moved to my house, we can't discuss this with our parent because we know the likely thing our parents would say.
I asked her this new year now what exactly she wants to do, she says she honestly doesn't want to leave her husband she's just staying with me to clear her head and think.
I honestly don't have any advice for her cos I won't wish this for my enemy not to talk of my own blood but she's hoping if she can go for ivf atleast the risk of her been infected is eliminated or she should just walk away from the marriage because she's still hasn't been able to achieve what her heart longs for, please honestly help us see that there's a light at the end of this tunnel....thanks
