Hi everyone. Happy 2016!!! For paper route application, i have these questions:
1. is it the original docs (such as sponsor's land docs , company certificate, degree certificate, waec certificate, birth certificate, passport) that should be submitted? Can I submit photocopies of the docs instead of the originals?
2. Also, Is affidavit of sponsorship different from letter of sponsorship?
3. Is Schedule 1 - Application for Temporary Resident Visa(IMM5257B) compusory to fill?
4. How many cic docs are needed to be submitted? Reading previous posts I have seen variances. I have the family info form (IMM5645E), the document checklist(IMM5483E), the Aplication for study permit made outside Canada (IMM1294E)

please help me out..tnks.

[I won't advice any international student to study part time.. Lots of conditions. Not allowed to work, automatically disqualified from pgwp.. I think you can't get health coverage from skl as well. And after skl, you leave Canada.. Or you enrol for full time skl and other benefits will follow quote author=EmmaMsc post=41545272]

Hello I dont think international students are allowed to study part time in Canada. I tried searching for information on whether international students wishing to study part time will be granted study permit but no concrete info. You will have to do more research to confirm if that is possible. (cc thesoj siga )

But please note that in any case, international students studying part time are not allowed to work either on or off campus

Helo, pls the gurus in the house I need your advice, i'm a graduate of accounting in Nija and I want to do my PGD in accounting or business administration in canada. I already found out 2 colleges that are not too expensive where I can do it selkirk college or northern light college both in BC. but I don't know which one to choose because I like the PGD in accounting in selkirk college which is also gd for visa and there are plenty Nigerian there, but at the same time I learnt 4rm this thread that it is located in a small village there are little or no part time jobs for student. on the other hand NLC(northern light college) I like their PGD business administration, it is cheaper and it looks like there are better job opportunities there but i'm not sure of Nigerian students there cos I really want a place where I will meet my pple. But in all dis info I don't have direct contact I got everything from the website. Pls I need the help of those who have any info on both colleges to advise me, cos I also want to go to a place where I can get a part time job since I intend to support myself.

Any where naija full you know say na happening area.

Have you thought of something simple like going to the university website and LOOKING?
By the way it is Newfoundland. (unless you mean somewhere else)

International students http://www.mun.ca/international/Prospective_Students/
Geology http://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/programs/easc.php
If you can't do that how will you complete your study?

hi. i am no expert on this but from wat i have read and observed on this thread, age aint a barrier to studying/applying/getting admitted even an undergraduate course. I think where the prob would lie is in your visa app. you must be able to prove to the VO that you havent been idle since u left higj school and also write a convincing SOP...I stand to be corrected though..m sure gurus in the house would shed more on ur questn.
you could also try reading back to see individuals that had similar situatns and how they tackled it

goodluck dear

I'm a Nigerian student studying in Montreal and I live with another Nigerian student in a big three bedroom apartment. We have a spare room. If you'd be coming this January and are still looking for accommodation for your first few months or for your stay here, contact me. It's a queen room and fully furnished, all bills inclusive and very good price. Please inbox me at ogorgirl2002@yahoo.com

Affidavit of sponsorship is different from letter of sponsorship. Former is done in any high court to authenticate the sponsorship. Later is just a normal letter written by your sponsor stating reasons why he/she is sponsoring U.
The following forms are to be filled:
1. Temporary resident visa application form
2. Study permit application form
3. Family information form
4. Study permit questionnaire
5. Checklist form.
Cheers.

Send a reminder to the school. If you check the school website very well, you should see an email address to send message to. Also apply to other schools. Do not put all your eggs in a basket. Cheers.

Do I go to any high court then and just say "hey, I need affidavit of sponsorship"? would they already know the contents of the affidavit or am i the one to draft the affidavit and submit to them for stamping?how do I go about it?better still do you have copies of both the affidavit of sponsorship and letter of spinsorship so that i could use it to draft mine? thank u muchos.

Yes, you can submit photocopies of most of your documents. Make sure these copies are very legible - If possible, get the copies notarized. CIC will usually insist you present originals of your SOAs though.

2. Also, Is affidavit of sponsorship different from letter of sponsorship?

Yes, I think they are different documents - The affidavit is done by a legal body, while the letter can be drawn up by anyone. They both serve the same purpose as far as I know.

3. Is Schedule 1 - Application for Temporary Resident Visa(IMM5257B) compusory to fill?

No, it isn't but I'd advise you fill it anyway.

4. How many cic docs are needed to be submitted? Reading previous posts I have seen variances. I have the family info form (IMM5645E), the document checklist(IMM5483E), the Aplication for study permit made outside Canada (IMM1294E)

During my app, I filled the App for study permit, Study permit questionnaire, Family info form, Schedule 1 form and the Document checklist. Best of luck.

Forget about Travel History. Just focus on the two other reasons. You will be fine. Concerning purpose of visit, are you going for advance diploma/pgc/pgd? Pls state your profile. Also do you have any unexplained study gap that may be a red flag? Your landed document would handle personal asset but also include your personal soa. Cheers
