They tried same with Saudi Arabia over the execution of a Shi'ite prisoner and protests led to an attack on Saudi's embassy which has resulted in Saudi Arabia and it's allies such as Bahrain cutting diplomatic ties. Iran needs to focus on rebuilding it's country after years of sanctions and stop causing trouble.

I agree Nigeria should handle this issue delicately to avoid another Boko Haram situation, but Iran should butt out.
